Very friendly and professional staff

Plenty of equipment available, great staff & trainers are the main reasons I find the YMCA the place to work and stretch out.. I am retired and find the Y meets all of my fitness needs and is a really wonderful place to spend time with like minded people. There is no reason to wither in retirement when you can meet new people, make new friends and keep fit seven days at the Y. Another benefit is being able to keep up with fitness when traveling.

The best hot tub in the area. The water is always at an acceptable temperature, the water is crystal clean, and the jets function as expected. The sauna is nice, although it can sometimes overheat the locker room. A fan might be nice. Showers are in good shape, they have great pressure, and are cleaner than most in the area. They seem to be on top of any necessary repairs.

My whole family, parents, HS and college kids love the Jackson Y. I use the pool at least once a week and love Stephanie Honaker's energetic pool aerobics class on Wednesday morning. The whole family uses the wellness center. The lifefitness machines are the best! Your staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. My daughter Brooke works in the Y care and enjoys the kids and flexibility with her high school band schedule. Amy is great to work for. The family discount Brooke receives is a nice bonus. Last week the front desk was having trouble verifying our membership even though we had paid for the month. Carma took care of it and emailed us. Thank her for the help please.

A suggestion for the amenities. Could the TV in the weight room area be fixed so it can show programming consistently, please? I believe it most typically showed ESPN, but now it’s most often offline. Thank you.

It was my first time, and it’s a fantastic, clean, beautiful facility. We are looking forward to attending it more as we soon move to Jackson.

I do like to work out at the YMCA and the individuals that work there are very nice. I do have one question about something that does bother me. I do not want this to be a political response but something I have noticed is that the two tv's that the Y puts news on are FOX Channels. I have been to the Y in the mornings, afternoon, and evenings and the news channels are always on FOX. Now I know you are going to say individuals are at the Y to work out, if that is the case, TVs should be taken out. If the Y can't balance what they broadcast and I am paying a monthly membership fee then my likes should be accommodated. Thank you for your time.

Great employees that take the time to get to know you and are talented at what they do. Kelly and Maren in Zumba, Sam in Yoga and Mr. Burdeshaw at the front desk all make my experience more welcoming and personal.

Sauna is great and well maintained.
Workout area is clean. Staff is friendly. Basketball hoop nets need replaced more regularly. They’re super worn down all the time and basketballs get stuck in them regularly. Younger kids always ask us to get it down for them because they can’t reach the net to get the ball down.

I like when the fitness center is empty so I can get my workout done quickly.
