The facility is clean and orderly. There is a wide variety of organized activities and plenty of workout machines. The staff is friendly and informative.
So far I haven’t had any issues with utilizing the YMCA. There is sufficient enough work out room and the weight room area. I do not have to wait for an inefficient time to utilize the weight room area. The facility are clean and neat most of the time. The staff is friendly and helpful.

It has what I need
We go to Sumner ymca ,newer ,closer to home, we try to avoid Lakewood because its just too dangerous.
Friendly staff, clean equipment, open and spacious.
Truly a "neighborhood" and family resource. And it doesn't hurt that there is abundant parking.
I like the variety of weight machines to use and the variety of other activities to choose from. I had a great time doing the beginners pickleball clinic!
It is kept much cleaner that the Morgan YMCA. The Morgan Y is not being kept up, so even though I live right next to it, I drive to Lakewood. Also, the Morgan Y seems to let in street people to shower, shave, and groom in the men's upstairs changing room.

The water instructors are fabulous other than Ginger, she is a nice person but not a very good teacher for that type of a class.

Family friendly! There’s something for everyone. They have a wide range of equipment and facilities.
Large clean and open facilities. So many classes. Safe space for teenagers. Friendly and helpful staff who genuinely care about members experience and safety.

The Y was a wonderful place for my family's health and well-being. I loved the classes, especially Zumba. I loved the sauna and hot tub. The pool was a godsend. My son loved swimming when he was younger. He grew to love the strength equipment as he got older. I was able to overcome my fear of the water and learn to swim through classes at the Y. All the staff were cheerful and helpful. The Lakewood Y was, by far, the best athletic club experience I've had.

Toby is a great leader at the Lakewwod YMCA. He is engaging and greets all members if he is in the lobby. Di’s yoga class on Monday morning is amazing . Her attitude , enthusiasm and expertise make the class bone of the best yoga classes at the local ymca’s.
