It’s close and convenient. There’s classes for my kids of multiple ages and it’s cost efficient.

Joined this month, the people are kind and helpful. Lots of great things to do to stay fit and healthy.
I feel welcome when I step through the doors. If I have a question, someone will always answer it. If I have a problem it is usually taken care of. Everyone is always friendly. I have made some good friends at the Y. I usually look forward to going, but at four in the morning, I sometimes want to go back to bed, but I don't. I have been to other gyms and they felt cold compared to the Y. Plus the most important, I started after I was released from my cancer treatments. I needed to rebuild my core muscles. And the Y has done that. Now I am starting to loose weight and getting better health wise. I can tell now that all the hard work is finally working. Rita Lind
I’d have to say my favorite is the employees like bob and Tyler in the mornings. The facility is clean, organized and equipment is always in good condition. Our kids love all the sports programs

I appreciate so many things about my experience at the Lakewood YMCA, starting with Bob, Greg, Arnie, Jimi, Tyler, and so many other staff members who always make me feel very welcome and laugh at my silly dad jokes.
Most days I start with using the dance room to do my foundation workout, then either spend time on the elliptical or shooting hoops, then spend some time swimming laps.
Having that space to go to in the mornings has helped me to become a morning person this year, and to prioritize my own mental and physical health through engaging in activities that bring my joy and help me take care of my body, something which is very important for me as a divorced dad of three kids with a lot of responsibilities.
I'm so thankful for everyone at the YMCA, and for how this space is open to the community!

Staff is friendly, committed, and professional.
No pressure, people you can identify with, community, not a high intensity sweat shop. Just a calm place to relax and get some exercise.

It is very clean and kept up nicely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pools are great with lifeguards always on duty. The hot tub is wonderful.

Family friendly place
A fantastic pre-school morning gymnastics class we had with coach Stephanie and another coach( do not know her name) brought my grandson for the 10:30-11 a.m classes..the coaches were so patient and super fantastic with all of the kids..
Will re-register again for the fall..the class is really helping his confidence, balance and he is excited to enroll again.
