Safe, clean, ample parking, variety of equipment.
Fantastic facility! It's very difficult to design a space and programming that fits a wide array of people and interests. Tom Taylor YMCA can meet the needs of everyone from children to mobility-impaired seniors, and even professional-level athletes. I only wish it were a bit larger to accommodate so many members, but there's a reason the gym is so popular.
They offer a wide variety of options for all ages and physical abilities. The men's locker room is begining to look its age, with some broken locker doors. The men's bathroom near the main lobby always smells like rotten breakfast sausage. Some of the equipment is looking well used with some upholstery tearing and some missing end caps on wieght hangers.
Still, with such popularity, it is hard to keep everything looking new. All in all, a great facility.

Silver fit classes and yoga
I really like the silver fit class. I take the Tuesday Thursday silver fit combo at 8 AM
I would like to take the silver fit circuit or the upcoming silver fit strength class but I do not want to come in the very middle of the day as I am and “active” older adult and I do things during the middle of the day so I like to have my workout be earlier in the morning.
I look forward to having these classes at some point earlier than noon. Sometime between seven or 9 AM would be nice.

Excellent experience in the main pool, as usual- friendly and helpful staff, attentive lifeguards. A general high standard of cleanliness.
The new vending machines offer mainly unhealthy choices. The YMCA perhaps has a responsibility to do better, especially toward younger members and teenagers.
I have concerns about the purchase of the massage chairs. At Planet Fitness, their massage chairs are in a private club called Black Card, no one under 18 years. The chairs break down a LOT.
The staff are consistently friendly, helpul and professional.
Genuinely nice people
8/16/25 Sat. This morning, I arrived at 7:30 AM the lady's locker room was very clean. The lockers were clean, the sauna floor was clean, THANK YOU!!!! Great job for the custodial and maintenance staff.
Concerns about the cleanliness of the massage chairs & sweaty people using the massage chairs.

Love the gym. Need to monitor the cell phone usage while using the equipment. It’s very frustrating when you try to use the machines and find people just sitting on them with their phones. There should be signage, reminding people that prolonged cell phone usage while on the equipment prevents other people from using the equipment
It’s clean, well maintenance, and adequate parking
I needed to place my membership on hold due to some health issues. Devin was extremely helpful in allowing me to do this and arranging everything for me. Excellent customer service!
My kid loves counselors and the activities. Pick up and drop off run well.

Re: Silver & Fit, please rethink your plans to hand out tickets on a first come first served basis, members could arrive for an early (or late) class and not be able to attend due to occupancy limits, maybe do an online class/time registration the day prior?
