Student Testimonials
Our 2 year old was terrified of the water. Michelle was so patient and kind with him. She was able to build his trust and he went underwater by the third class. we’ve been blown away by the progress. Thank you!
Everyone at there is very friendly and helpful. Love the swim instructors and the facilities are always very clean.
The class groups are small and the instructors are very focused on your child and their progress.
The staff is amazing at the berkley location. Every instructor we have had has been wonderful with my children and they love coming every week. I would recommend to anyone to get their kids learning how to swim and loving the water.
Clean facility and friendly staff
Location convenience
Convenient location. Kids are learning to swim. Instructor is good.
However for several weeks in a row they haven't documented any progress on their aqua cards despite me witnessing advancements each week. The front desk lady told me it takes about 18 months to get from level 3 (current level) to level 4 and that also transitioning from level 5 to 6 is tough due to skills needed. I understand it's a learning process and takes time. But it's sounding like it will take 3 years for them to be able to swim independently (kids are 3 years and 5 years) which seems excessive.
Not a fan of the immediate increased tuition in January after only 1 week of lessons, especially after openinv being delayed 4 months. A tuition discount (vs extra makeup classes) would have been nice. Especially with 2 kids it's difficult to find a makeup day for both of them at the same time.
The staff is fantastic! Friendly, accommodating and wonderful with the little ones.
The ability to cancel a session and schedule a makeup class is so great. Simple and convenient, which with children is such an important factor.
Coach Michelle, Coach Zack, Tiffany and the entire staff!
My child has only been going to Aquatots since the Berkley location opened. She has learned so much in that time and can swim now! I was worried that this would take a long time for her to learn, but the coaches all have been great. The atmosphere and the front desk have all been wonderful!
The only downside is when coaches quit. Makes us sad because my daughter has a relationship with them and they leave. We completely understand life happens and other opportunities arise, but we are grateful for every coach my daughter has had and continues to have.
The instructors are playful with the kids. After going to a different swim school for 3 years we switched and our son is making leaps in his progress and just adores his teacher. My daughter just started and asks every single day if it's swim class day. As a parent I love that if a kid seems to be struggling, an additional teacher magically appears and offers one on one for as long as they need to get back in the game. This is great not only for the child but for the rest of the group, since they can continue on with their class.
We love Berkley Aqua-Tots! Both of my children are so much more comfortable in the water after just a few weeks. My oldest has moved up levels very quickly and the staff are so helpful in finding us schedules that work for us. The coaches are very knowledgeable and are able to work with the children at their level and make it FUN!
This is our third swim school, we previously did Troy Gymnastics swim and Goldfish. This is by far the best swim school. My son is making huge strides after two years of what felt like no progress. He’s actually swimming on his own- which felt like it was never going to happen. He also really enjoys swim class now, which he didn’t before. Your coaches are exceptional, the best we’ve ever had. I felt like the coaches at his other swim schools were bored teenagers who did not seem engaged with then kids at all- but that is not the case at Aqua-tots. All the coaches are professional, engaged, and engage the kids. It’s a joy to watch his classes. I have already recommended the school to a friend whose daughter was at another school and was not making progress. They started last week and so far are very happy they made the switch. I really can’t say enough good things about Aqua-tot’s, I’m so glad you moved into our neighborhood!
Great coaches and it is fun and engaging for my child!
I love the convenient location, your instructors and staff are friendly, helpful and very patient-with the kids and parents. My kid loves it and is learning so much.
Thank you
My kid is making progress, and the location is convenient. Staff is friendly.
Michelle is amazing. She always makes my daughter feel safer and more excited while encouraging her to get out of her comfort zone. She’s the reason we return!!
The staff is excellent with both of my children but especially helpful with my youngest who has become hesitant and takes a bit of time to warm up. They also reassured me that it is normal behavior and they can work with it. They’ve successfully gotten her into the pool every time and she ends up having a good time.
My child loves going to swim class and the coaches interact really well with the kids. My only complaint is that I don’t always get the progress card emailed to me after each class.
Some of the teachers are really professional and knowledgeable and the premises are always clean
Our daughter is getting more and more comfortable each week and loves that she is not “forced” to do anything she isn’t ready for. She feels like she has control of her learning which is very powerful for a 3.5 year old.
Teacher Ms First name removed has made all the difference in making our 2.5 year old feel safe and comfortable learning to swim. All the staff have been friendly, professional and helpful.
Great instructors that take care in teaching my son and work with him to be comfortable. Clean and organized operations.
Michelle is the best swim coach! my son is very weary of strangers and takes a little while to get used to new things and she has made the transition so wonderful for him! He now loves to go to swim!
Courtesy of staff. They are so helpful!
My kids really love the facility and are making faster progress than they have at other swim schools (including when they did 1:1 lessons).
It’s seems to have a system that’s working. But it’s not perfect.
The school and programs are great. I would like to see consistency and actual updates though in the report cards after. They're inconsistent each week and show lack of any progress or testing

I think that the program is well constructed and well executed by most instructors.
