Great family facility with lots of group classes and programs
As a Senior member, I enjoy so many classes to choose from, with instructors who make exercising so much fun. Also, I love the additional support with special programming: health and wellness and social activities, too. The number 1 reason I love the Desert Foothills YMCA is because the staff and members are caring and encouraging: I feel the love. A great community within my community!
Yoga classes are brilliant. Volley ball was awesome. Swimming lessons were excellent.
The club is clean and nicely laid out. It has a really nice atmosphere. The staff are always really helpful and very friendly.

I love the feeling of warmth and welcomeness I feel when I walk in. The employees and other members are so friendly. I also really appreciate the late morning/early afternoon classes. I’ve never been to a Y or a gym that offers mid-day classes and that’s what works for me.

I love the classes - I love the pool *though there are not enough lap lanes. I love the instructors. My grand girls love swim lessons! It’s all wonderful - well except not enough lap lanes :)

What I don’t like:
Too crowded
People with poor gym etiquette-stay on a machine for a long period of time, usually on the phone, oblivious to others that might want to use the equipment.
The smaller gym with circuit equipment, too often unavailable in the mornings. They should be in a different room????

Wide range of exercise options and super fun exercise classes.
We like all of the equipment in the area with the glass windows. It is a quieter experience plus there is great opportunity for stretching there. The greater gym has plenty of work out machines. I wish racquet ball was more popular - my kids could use private instruction. The perfect gym would have a heated indoor pool!

It’s very convenient for me. Facilities are clean and the lap pool is very nice. I swim so that’s important for me. The staff is very nice
