My grandsons has been attending the YMCA day camp in Coppell for three years now and are always happy at the end of the day. The camp instructors are always happy to see them and very engaging. The activities are fun and relaxed. Field trips are exciting for the kids. I feel safe dropping them off for the day and that is very important for me. They will continue to attend this camp for many years.
My daughter loved the camp! The camp counselors were great and friendly. It was affordable, included swim lessons 2x/wk, and awesome field trips.
All three of my sons attended, and they had a great time with activities like swimming and field trips. As they get older, though, they seem to find it a little less exciting, so I would give it 9 out of 10. The teachers were very friendly and made it easy for the kids to feel comfortable.
The staff very kind!! Love the camp
It was convenient, affordable, and the kids enjoyed it - especially the field trips and swim days!
We loved it!
For me the only issue I had was our first day of camp. The only thing provided was the address. That took us to the main campus entrance for Brookhaven. Brookhaven staff tried to tell us what building the camp was in but we could not find building V. We finally went back and they had to escort us to the building which is far from the address that was provided.
I did email and call prior for the drop off info, but no one could get back to me until the day of after I dropped off the kids. There is a small YMCA yard sign outside of the building but I would not have seen it from the road and it was blocked from parked cars.
A campus map or thorough directions would have been helpful as I was late to work that day.
Other than that frustration the camp staff and programming were fantastic. The teachers seemed like they wanted to be there and my kids had fun. We loved the field trips and swim time.
My son said he didn't notice 'improvements' but all week he was happy to be going again. He did even say that although he said next year he didn't want to come back, he changed his mind. Thank you for caring and taking the time to read these and improve the experience for the kids!
It was easy, my son loved it and I had no worries on his safety or health.
My daughter enjoy your summer
Thank you
The camp staff was amazing. They were always attentive and my son love the experience they provided daily.
Smaller setting and we'll organized
Camp handles everything all day
We love the various activities our child gets to participate in. So not only is she getting physical education, there are also opportunities for STEM and educational development. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and I feel safe leaving my little one with them when I go to work. The field trips and included swim lessons sealed the deal for us this summer!
Camp was great. I loved the verity of places they took them and swim lessons once a week was a great deal for my daughter. I did had some concerns and feedback to the camp directors, but they were great hearing me out and handling the situation (and obviously we can't control how other children behave- that comes from their home). I will definitely come back and put my kids there in camp next year!
Great staff, fun activities, great coverage hours for work schedules
field trips were a hit. counselors were great. our best Y experience versus downtown Dallas, Lake Highlands and Richardson
Good experience. Son Loved it. Odd beginning. But a memorable ending. Good team. Nikki might know what she is doing. Everyone is friendly. Staff was kind. My son seemed to enjoy every minute.
Great camp, my son loves it and the staff is great.
It was just convenient. Both my wife and myself work and we didn't want our kids to be stuck at home. We wanted them to be out of the house and do cool activities. And they did. No tech is a big plus. Just play and have fun with great field trips and such.
My kids enjoy the friendly and fun environment. The staff are friendly and professional.
Our daughter loves the activities. Archery is her favorite.
Porta potties could be improved. Kids aren’t used to those. Maybe frequently cleaning and ensuring hand washing station is stocked
The drop-off/pick-up time is a huge benefit; swimming lessons and field trips on Friday are awesome and give my kid something to do during the summer instead of being on the iPad or phone.
My kid loves Tuesdays and Fridays!!!
The kids they enjoy it. Love it
They are an amazing team- my daughter had an amazing experience- she love to swim and enjoy all their activities
Everyone seemed nice and my daughter had fun all summer.
Most importantly our child stays busy, has fun and has made quite a few friends.. When we do have concerns or issues they are promptly handled by a very friendly staff.
Camp is always fun and convenient for us every year. The team is very nice and work with the children very well...even challenging situations with the kiddos. I've seen the team calm crying and temper tantrums. The field trips are amazing . I think the kids prefer going out instead of the in house on Thursdays.
This year the only complaint and a very big one is the kids don't like the new food vendor for breakfast and lunch. They received frozen sandwiches often and untasteful barely edible meals.
They want to now bring their lunch which makes it inconvenient for mom of course.
I ask that you go back to the original vendor and if thats not possible find one that has better food options. The kids burn a lot of energy during camp and their refuel is very important.
If help is needed I volunteer to assist in this endeavor

The leadership from Doris and Marian was refreshing. It was my best year at the YMCA. They were both organized, kind, encouraging, helpful, communicative and positive. It was a joy to work every day.
