Near my home and the small friendly staff
I have been involved with the Y in some capacity for twenty years, whether through personal training, group exercise, Child Watch or basketball skills. I love that it truly feels like family. Some of my closest friends I met through group exercise at the Y. The low turnover rate makes the instructors and staff feel like family. My older two children grew up in the Child Watch and now they both work at the Y. My daughter works with the same Child Watch staff who watched her when she was little. She loves that feeling of familiarity. My younger son has worked with Coach Cam for basketball skills for six years and is playing at a high level now. We appreciate our Y family and we are proud to be affiliated with an organization that does so many wonderful things for the community.

Everything! YMCA in Mckinney is a great community. The service and people that works there is fantastic, the quality and quantity of classes is very good, the equipment is always clean and working, the environment is safe and courteous. I recommend it with my eyes close. My family loves to go to the Y everyday.
Location and friendly staff.
I initially would have given a 1 prior to the season beginning because of the terrible lack of response and follow up. I went to the local office and they had no answers, so I was given a lead sports director email with no response, and reached out to the direct YMCA Dallas customer support with no response. I had already registered early and needed assistance with some questions since I was new to the YMCA and never received it. I finally gave up. Eventually I received general information once the season was beginning, but it was a terrible and poor first impression.
Otherwise, I would say it was an excellent experience. The referee we usually had wasn't always consistent with his refereeing, but I imagine he's learning too. Ultimately my child had a great time, it was fun, and affordable. We'd definitely try this again. Wish the season was longer because it was a lot of fun.

I love my yin yoga classes. Deborah is a wonderful instructor and she has created such a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. My fellow yogi’s are friendly and fun and I really look forward to seeing them every Tuesday and Thursday!

The access to the basketball court helped my daughter get an offer to play at the college level. She met other players putting in the work too and grew her skill set faster and made friends.
You helped her change her life by providing a safe place for her to practice. We never worried about her safety there even when she was there by herself.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Nice pickleball courts. Wish they had a pool.
