Very well put together and the coaches and instructors for all the programs we have attended so far have been fantastic.
Staff are generally welcoming and pleasant. Being greeted by my first name is an added bonus.
I've noticed a few of the younger staff at the front desk have improved with looking up and saying, "hello", "goodbye", etc. with a smile. Please acknowledge to staff how much these small personal touches are appreciated.
Wellness Coaches on the floor seem to also be becoming more "social" to members. Again, a smile, nod and "hello" goes a long way with members feeling their presence at the Y is acknowledged and valued. I would suggest that WC not sit with their backs to the main exercise floor when they are in their office. Sitting with your back to people looks/feels like a wall, and gives off the nonverbal signal of "don't approach me, I'm not accessible to you." Overall, I see improvement in this area, but perhaps reminders would be helpful.
I enjoy the welcome, community feel to our Y. There is so much good going on every day!
Where do I start? It’s the warm and welcoming feeling you get as soon as you step inside and are greeted by those at the front desk, it’s the clean and bright array of workout equipment and the helpful and knowledgeable staff, it’s the many and varied programs/classes to fit everyone’s capabilities, it’s the new and old friends you’re going to make and share these surroundings and new experiences with.
For my husband and I it has definitely changed our lives for the better. Once I get started, it’s hard to stop - there’s just so much it has to offer!
Coach tyson is great. Organized yet flexible. No issues
The staff is amazing especially the childcare. Everyone makes your family feel welcome and cared for.
I do really love this location because it is smaller and a bit less intimidating…. But, I do really wish there were a few other machines / another bench press, etc. (love the hack squat/ hip thrust machines at MFB) the current hamstring curl is also not my favorite, it’s harder to use especially shorter people. Overall love it here though. Staff are nice and it’s always very clean!
Small commitment, great for trying to see if the child enjoys the sport. Small team sizes for scrimmages
It was easy to sign up and there is no hassle or confusion about when leagues start or finish. Schedule is set up in advance and there is communication between the Y and the coaches and then the parents.
Staff is very personable and friendly. Equipment is well maintained and there is a good variety of activities and classes
Registration is easy. The coaches are great! Very good with the kids. The referees are also extremely nice and very helpful with giving the kids advice on the playing field. My daughter loves the soccer program!
Great coaches and fun atmosphere. My kids loved every season and asked to play the next one.
Two specific teachers - Wendy R and Dawn, both yoga teachers. MaryFree Bed is my home y and much closer to me, but I drive to Litehouse because these two are excellent instructors.
I love the the focus is on good sportsmanship and team work. Also the 6 week timeframe and the price are all just right for our family.

Everything! The camaraderie, the laughter, the sharing...there is so much I get from the Y, that words can't describe. You need to become a part of the YMCA to understand the magnificence of it. #TheYMCAIsABlessing
