I love it that the visser Y is more than a gym. It is a community of members who love and support each other. I was in the hospital this spring and fellow members sat around a round table and prayed for my recovery. When I returned to class the ladies clapped and cheered and told me they prayed for me. Great place to work out. It would be nice to have a bigger area for the free weights for those of us who don't want to be in the huge room. The little room gets full but all of the extras are in that room. Restrooms are always clean, lockers are great.
I enjoy my membership at the YMCA and have been an ongoing member for over ten years. Also, I have returned to the Visser YMCA two previous times for services, based on my child's age/interest and my disability. The staff has been helpful and available, as needed. It would be helpful, as an individual who is disabled, to have additional tread miles available (which include t.v. stations, that are NOT located in the FRONT of the building, by the gym). At this time, the YMCA is very busy and it is difficult to find an available tread mile to use. Also, it would be helpful to have available group classes for individuals who are disabled, in the evening for members and are unable to attend during the day.

Would like to see the pool walkers use the family pool; there are only 4 swimming lanes
Lots of good group fitness classes and instructors. But some instructors crank the music so loud that it's piercing and uncomfortable if you're standing anywhere near a speaker.
Staff is awesome. I love my job. I get unconditional love and the Kid Zone. I love the track. I love the hot tub pool serenity peace one day at a time.
From the smiling faces at the front desk and the instructors of the classes, to the crew that swoops in to keep the studio clean, the people that make up the Visser team are an amazing bunch! Thanks for all that you do to make our time at the Y positive and productive!

Everyone is always so willing to help you if you need it. It is so clean, and they offer so many different classes.

We like that it’s typically not too busy and the staff is nice. We also love the 2 hot tubs and that the saunas are outside the locker rooms.
