We enjoy the community there. We are retired and used the facilities, I like the smaller size.
I love the Y and all the different things it offers! Love all the amenities and the childcare. Only thing I would change about it is the tile floors in the women's locker room, which are less than desirable.

I like the open pickleball the most and though I am just a newby I feel welcome by all. I enjoy the cardio equipment and the weight machines as well.

The Visser Family YMCA has everything a family needs to work out and enjoy each other. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is helpful.
The classes are amazingly fun! The instructors are so good and friendly. The coaches around the gym are helpful and knowledgeable. There's even volleyball, pickleball and basketball too! The whole facility is so well kept, clean, spacious and welcoming. I've taken my grandkids to the pool as guests! To top it off, there's a warm family pool at 90F that makes me dream of being back home in the ocean! The hot tubs have strong jets that massage your body! It's hard not staying there for hours.

We love the friendly staff and care they show our girls. I don’t know the lady’s name but she usually checks the kiddos in and helps occasionally but she is so sweet. She always makes us feel welcome. We will be signing up for the next session.
I like that there are a variety of activities, although I usually take advantage of the Family pool because it's warmer. My husband loves the pickleball and weights.
An area to improve: mildew and sewer flies in the pool shower and cleanliness of women's bathroom stall floors and shower stall walls.
I love the large locker room.

I mainly come for the yoga classes. This YMCA location has 3 very good yoga teachers: Racee, Tim, and Tom. I enjoy all of their classes.

I requested a tour of Visser Family YMCA. I think my tour guide was the manager or possibly the assistant manager of Visser Family YMCA. My tour guide has a wonderful smile and her enthusiasm for Visser Family YMCA was very evident. I told her that her affinity and loyalty to Visser Family YMCA made me want to come back and use the facility soon. I also toured the Spartan Nash YMCA because it too is near my home. Each facility is top-notch and I know I am fortunate to have a home near to two outstanding YMCA's. On top of that I am blessed to receive a free YMCA membership due to my age and the fact that I have my health insurance through Priority Health. My Visser tour guide mentioned that Visser has a better lap pool but that Spartan Nash has a better walking track. I agree and since I don't do lap swimming I gave Visser Family YMCA a nine. I probably should have rated it a ten because the my tour guide at Visser Family YMCA seemed to be quite interested in my well-being . I did not get that same feeling at Spartan Nash. Also the other staff members at Visser Family YMCA seemed more friendly to me.
