Friendly, easy to get started, great classes and atmosphere
The teachers have all been so patient and attentive. The consistency is greatly appreciated and our son has come a long way since he started!
This course has exceeded my expectations. Going into the course, I assumed we would simply have fun playing in the water with our son. Five weeks in, I'm watching him actually demonstrate basic skills. The games and fun are translating into successful adoption of correct movements and form. It's been amazing to see!

I love my sons teacher she is so engaging with him and you can just tell that she enjoys teaching the little ones.
The parent/child water exploration class is a fun way to bond with your child while they learn swim basics through song and a few fun floaty toys.
All of our swim classes we have done for our kids there have been great. The only complaint I have is that the ones they are currently doing on Tuesdays and Thursdays seem to have other classes (big kids) running them over while they are trying to learn. And the instructor for my daughter's Tuesday swimming class is not interactive with any of the kids at all. I don't feel like she's getting much out of it this time. Besides the experiences this time around all of the past swim classes they have all attended over the past few years have been fantastic.
My 4 and 5 year old grandchildren began swimming lessons this year at the YMCA and I have never seen them thrive in a activity as quickly as they have while here. And to top it off there swim teacher is amazing and the kids adore and trust her.

I appreciate a good family atmosphere for my kids and myself. My husband and I can work out, my son can go shoot hoops, both my sons are in different programs additionally, including basketball and taekwondo. I didn’t grow up in a family that went to the gym, so I really appreciate that my sons can see a healthy lifestyle for all body styles and ages.

It's a very clean atmosphere. Work out area and locker rooms are very well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The members have smiles and are more than willing to help if you have a question on how anything works.
My only complaint is that it is very warm in the building at all times. Even early in the morning. This is space that is primarily used for physical activity, it is not necessary to have the heat so warm.

I love the community feel of the wolverine branch. The staff is great, the classes have a lot of energy, and the facility is clean.
I love that the YMCA is a place where you can find all ages of people, all body types and all levels of fitness. Wolverine is more then just a gym, it’s a family made up of the community that surrounds them.
The staff are all helpful and provide great customer service. They all seem to care about people’s well being.

My wife and I visit all 5 G.R. area Y's regularly and have Wolverine at #1 Some of the reasons are, building layout, clean everywhere, many windows, an abundance of equipment without problems, large deep pool, elevated track, close parking, easy check in and spacious lobby with seating. This is a great facility that is very well run.
Wolverine Worldwide YMCA is definitely family friendly! My kids and grandkids are also members. I appreciate the variety of classes and activities that can bridge three generations of "athletes". The staff is incredible and skilled, as well as friendly and encouraging. The facility and equipment is well maintained and clean.
Our YMCA is a gathering place for our community of family and friends. The coffee corner is an added perk, and the childcare workers are amazing. Love it!

I really enjoy having such a clean, bright, safe facility for working out. The friendly staff is also a plus. I am a lifetime member of the YMCA, starting as a boy and now 66 years old.
The kids zone is great and our kids really enjoy their time when we are working out.
The consistency of the pool. Too often, if my friend and I go downtown which is MUCH closer, that pool does not have enough guards and we cannot enter, something we find out only after changing into our suits and showering. This does not happen at Wolverine.
