Fantastic facility!!!
Availability of equipment, hours of operation, my Pilates instructor Cindi.
Clean and friendly facility
It’s busy and full of life! Lots more activities to take part in. Larger facility with people who make me want to push harder.
Friendly and clean but wish you had towels the water warmer in the pool . Hot tub fixed in ladies room ..
Staff are always friendly. I love the questions of the day! Although I only have purchased once, I love Malamiah!
Martha Ferguson is the best trainer on the planet!
Nice people both the workers and clients - lots of free parking open till 9pm (wish it was open later on weekends)
Friendly staff, clean facility, good hours, variety of options. Thank you!
I love the Y. I love the pool / the hot tube and the sauna where I chat with new friends every visit.
Great price for value, staff are friendly, good hours and clean.
I have LOVED being a member of the YMCA. It is such a great place to walk, swim, exercise, relax in the hot tub, and meet people.
My only frustration is on the weekends when parents fail to attend to their young children while they are either exercising or watching basketball games. I have been elbowed in the arm by preteens running by me, been almost cut off by 4-6 year olds on the track and more than once have seen runners almost collide into these young kids. I, myself, am just a walker at this point, so I have more time to make adjustments. It is just really frustrating to have these kids un-supervervised on the track or in the work out/weights area.
otherwise I have fully enjoyed the time I spend at the Y and I'm am so impressed with the DD Hunting YMCA location.
I like coming to the Y to get a good work out but also because I made friends. The instructors are helpful and the environment is such that it is easy to feel welcome. The people are friendly and there is a sense of community.
I am really enjoying the indoor track. It's great in the winter time.
Clean courts, great refs, good scheduling
I like all of the options of the classes and equipment. I haven't personally used other amenities, but they have a rock wall and racket ball courts and two pools, one for just lanes. Many options for all people looking to get actively involved.
Friendly staff, great facilities, and bright space! Sad that the steam room is a 50/50 gamble. But the rest is amazing!
A bit crowded and some odd restrictions on the water slide schedule (which was the main reason we came). The parking is obviously a problem with those narrow spaces. Overall, a nice complement to our usual Mary Free Bed Y.
Sauna, steam room, whirlpool, And the equipment. It’s kept clean at. All times.
So much to offer !
Very organized compared to leagues in the area like JAM
Great atmosphere, plenty of equipment and great views of downtown GR from the running track!
It’s a great space and I appreciate the private smaller trainer space on the 2nd floor.
Walking
Everything- I was greeted so nicely- the equipment was great … the only thing I could say is the lockers in locker room are looking a little weathered - rust / worn. But again I felt very welcome there.
The front desk people are very friendly. They greet you as you come in and as you leave. The track has wide panoramic windows, so it's not as boring as walking or running on a track where there is little view outside. The pool is massive and seems open a lot more than other Y's pools. The parking is very difficult, unfortunately, especially on days when there is an event like kids' basketball.
I love the aquatic exercise classes!
David D hunting ymca is really top notch!! The best of the best!!! The only place better would be Disney world. (Or maybe the Mary free Bed Ymca.)
The friendliness.

As we were leaving the DDH this time, we were commenting how well the building handles a lot of people without feeling crowded. Parking is, of course, almost impossible on a Saturday morning. People were circling the lot, waiting for spots or to get out. Maybe a sign indicator when the lot is full would be helpful so it's obvious when to use the city lot next door. (We parked on the street, so didn't have any problems with the line.)
