Love Les Mills, fitness instructors, the new upstairs, and the members. Though we are losing our parking lot-the plan for the bridge makes it better for safety and motivation on winter days.
The Y is great! I wish it was open later on the weekends. Your employees are valuable and should be paid more.
Everything! Sauna and Jacuzzi after a workout is my heaven!
I love that I lam back at the Y with my new One Pass program. I missed everything!
I am telling all my friends about the new program for us seniors. Thanks!!
I absolutely love the ladies in the DDH kidzone! They are so sweet with my boys and make it so easy to leave them in trusted hands so I can work out. It means so much to me how much they truly care about my boys & I know they are so well loved and taken care of while I have some time to myself.
The coffee!
Simply awesome
Love working out here!
I would love to have the fitness room on the second floor open when no class is going on in the lie I g so I could use that equipment. My schedule doesn’t always allow me to go to the 9am classes but I love the routines and would like to do them on my own
I enjoy all the available classes and the different areas for individual kinesthetic and free weight workouts. The group classes are lively and the instructors friendly & good at reading the room. GVSU students getting free membership was great as well.
Community investment. Family friendly
The Y is a beautiful place with its tall glass windows and sunshine that comes through them. As a participant in the water aerobics class in the smaller pool, I have been a member since, I think, 1999. However, I would like to see the water temperature a little warmer. I get chilled easily and am currently ill with a severe cold after experiencing chills after my last class in the smaller pool.
When I first joined and had to decide which pool for aerobics class, I soon found that the Olympic pool was too cold even though I was a proficient swimmer. The smaller pool was known as the arthritis pool because it was warmer for sore joints (which I have). More recently, it seems that the temperature has been lowered and is thus cooler by several degrees. Hence my chills.
I love how inclusive and accessible the Y is. There is something available for everyone regardless of their abilities or limitations.
Convenient
The "Y" looks good with new paint job, new workout floor and weights on 3rd floor. Still concerned convenient parking will be a huge problem when new soccer arena is built.
Great staff and incredible facility
Wish you had a sauna like they do in the Traverse City YMCA
I like that all the weights and cardio equipment are on one floor and even when it is busy it seems like there’s enough to go around
Everything! My favorite Y
I absolutely love the facility. The steam room is like no other. The atmosphere is pure energy.
The wide range of classes and top-notch facilities!
Great location
The amount of space and choice of amenities.
It's a great pool, and the staff (especially Rodney) is friendly.
I really like the Y, so much to offer. My only complaint would be the busyness.
Lots of space, always room for everyone. The bad part is how expensive memberships are, especially for college students
I love the remodel and added equipment. I love the central location. I LOVE all the natural light from the windows and the great views from the 2nd floor.
Love it!
Great classes
And people
New equipment
Love it there
fantastic
The sauna and steam room. The turf areas and sled.
However, more parking is needed. Lot and public parking is always full during peak hours.

I love the people that work there and it is a wonderful opportunity to exercise and swim. In addition you meet lots of new & fun people
