Dear YMCA,
After expressing a high recommendation of Y, which I tell my neighbors and co-workers all the time, I have discovered a big issue just risen on the swimming pool.
For all of Y's management information, we the regular late night swimmers in last few days found a big problem with cold/cool/lower water temperature.
Unanimously telling Steven (pool director) personally, Mark, Dan, Tao, another swimmer, and I asked Steven to keep the pool temperature (written on board) to be at about 86 F.
Intentionally and as of yesterday, with determination, Steven has put the temperature at 83/84 F. That is too low even for me, and I wear a wet suit! Normally reticent, Tao, also expressed her upset and frustration. Mark certainly was vocal, even though we joked that he has the most "fat" to protect himself. During all these years, we are used to seeing the temperature 85-87 written on the board.
Steven's deliberate action is called out here for review.
Whether Y's new management policy -- based on what data, survey, standards, etc. -- is to lower the pool temperature, I request for Y's management review.
It's not about just me, although I would love 87 F. Along with all my late night swimmers, we are asking for what is REASONABLE -- 86 F.
Sincerely,
