I love the Keyser Room. The machines are able to go up just 1 pound at a time and you do not have to increase by 5# at a time. When you have osteoporosis and fraile like some of us seniors an increase of 5 pounds at a time is extremely hard to do. Also These machines start out at very low pounds. I am not able to even do the lowest weight on most of the machines in the cardio room because I have an extremely bad back so I found the Keyser room my savior. I understand not all the Y's have the machines that we find here in the Keyser Room and that is the basic reason that I only use this facility.

I enjoy the pilates, yoga, other mind body classes and ujam! Teachers are knowledgable and motivating. Also appreciate access to the cardio machines.

I love the warm indoor pool for my arthritis. I wish there were more hours for recreational/ exercise for adults.

About the only thing I have ever done at the Y is use the pool. I love it and enjoy the various exercise classes held there.

I mostly use the pool for water exercise, both individual and class. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere!
You really need to pay more attention to your water exercise classes. Not all of them are being taught effectively. While there is certainly more than one way to teach effectively, you should check to see if these guidelines are being followed: Participants should be able to tell clearly what exercise to do. This is best achieved by having the instructor on deck demonstrating the exercise, and giving clear audible instructions. The classes should be choreographed to music of the instructor’s choosing, possibly with input from participants. The instructor should be friendly and encouraging, yet professional, and remind participants to exercise safely at their own pace. Classes should begin and end on schedule. On any given day, there should be a choice of instructors and class levels. Some of the classes are too slow for longtime experienced participants. Adding a more energetic class such a water Zumba during the week would probably fix this.
The Y might well consider paying your instructors better and paying for training and certifications.

There's a wide variety of classes to choose from as well as times to take them. There are so many different types of machines and equipment to choose from. The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone I've met there from staff, to instructors, to other participants, are so friendly. I'm so glad I joined!
Warm pool, fun people and friendly staff. I've become friends with 5 people and we get together for lunch and other activities outside of the Y.
I like the Gym and the fact that you offer childcare because i would not beable to work out unless i had help with childcare so your facility makes that possible for me and i also love the summer camp programs . 2 of my kids were in the summer camp all summer last summer and they loved it. We will be sure to do it again next year .
