Volleyball and fun members, nice staff😊
Son muy amables y los maestros de natación son muy atentos con su trabajo.
I only use the Senior Fitness program, but used the machines in the past. I've made a lot of friends and acquaintances through the Y. The offerings in classes and other facilities are good.
Me gusta como tratan a los niños y a los padres.
Los programas son muy buenos me gusta la natación la ayuda después de la escuela
I LOVE the diversity of classes. My son lives here in Redwood City and I share my time between here, the Sacramento area and Vancouver WA. This area has the best selection of classes. I really appreciate it - also nice people
The instructors are superb!
I just do the senior enhanced fitness classes M W and Fridays. I sometimes use the treadmill.
Our son, Jackson, has learned a lot and seems to have fun and enjoy the teachers. Appreciate that the classes start on time and teachers are great.
Porque el personal es muy amables
I like the Hoist machines
Kids club, swimming pool
I can walk and I love the claasses u offer
Sequoia Y is a small facility with a very friendly staff.
I like the wide offer of classes and that there are offers on the weekend too. I also like the care taken in looking for a sub when the teacher cannot make it so that we do not miss the class. My favorite instructor is Tina, she is always inspiring us to work hard. I also like First name removed Elena when she gets to sub for Tina.
The water programs
Pool is great. Hours are flexible
swimming
the programs and activities are very good and fit for different level and ages, I like them and recommend them to others.
I love the Tues and Thurs 11am water aerobics class. However, I'm concerned that the time for the classes is going to change and that will be a problem for me.
I'm all for adding more classes but without changing the times of existing classes.
Water classes
Your staff is very friendly and helpful. I love that you have the exercise machines that allow me to do my physical therapy, especially since I don’t have these at home. I like seeing and hearing people talk to those they know. You’re fostering a sense of community. Your instructors are helpful with this also by asking new students to introduce themselves and returning students to say their names too (at least in the classes I’ve attended so far).
The programs are varied so there is something for everyone. The instructors are wonderful, making the classes worthwhile and not intimidating.
The Senior Fitness program has been serving me for 10 years. It is fantastic. I asked to have my payment lowered if possible, and my ask was granted. I appreciate the care and dedication of the workers/staff.
Community
Rigorous and vigorous senior programs. Senior fitness on Monday Wednesday Friday is a stand out. We need more of these classes perhaps on Tuesday and Thursday.
I greatly appreciate the job that Andres is doing - glad to see summer camp going well. Hoping basketball camp and swim lessons continue to grow (revenue). The pool is the lifeblood of the facility and it's closure would likely significantly impact membership/viability of the site. If there is something that the membership can do to help reduce monthly closures due to chemical imbalance/filtration, please make that known.
Thanks to the broader staff as well, Andrew, Lisa, Xavier -- whole host of others that I encounter.
Everyone is so friendly and fun. The facilities are extremely clean and great to use. I am only using the dressing room, shower, and pool at the moment. Life Guards were helpful answering questions I had about swimming equipment. I really find that using the pool is helping my back pain and problem. I couldn't be happier with the YMCA!
We like that it’s almost personal lesson because there are just 3 o4 kids in the class
I love the water aerobics classes!
Obviously, these can only take place when the pool is open. Today, it is closed for the second day in a row, which is frustrating and disappointing for all concerned.
The absolute best situation is to have the Sequoia Pool open without interruption during all hours the facility is open, to facilitate water aerobics classes, but also individual exercise. The pool obviously needs a higher level of maintenance.
Finances are a complex issue. You have just announced that my senior monthly membership fee is going up by $3 a month. I do not consider this a problem, but I would hope the extra revenue generated will be used to pay a living wage to our lifeguards and water aerobics instructors.
On the other hand, I really wonder why we are paying to use a pool that is unavailable far too often. My suggestion is that you refund a dollar (al least) to pool users for every day the pool is closed. It would give us a small price break, but more importantly, I think it would serve as motivation to maintain the pool at the level required.

How friendly all the swim teachers are!!!!
