Member Testimonials
There's something for every member of our family, but the teen activities (from sports to leadership and volunteering camps are the best)
The El Camino YMCA on Grant Rd in Mountain View is a safe, enjoyable and fun place for my teen girls. They particularly enjoy swimming there as well as playing basketball.
Variety of offerings
A great variety of classes offered at no extra cost
Group x coaches are excellent!! Very thankful I have Anita and other group x coaches at El Camino YMCA
I like the layout of the facility, the amenities, and the overall feel of the facility with picture windows that lookout onto a serene ark setting. I love the addition of the pilates reformers and I'm eager to take classes using the machines (if the classes are not cost prohibitive). The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
Warm pool for kids swim! That’s the very best part, but a close second is the family-friendly aspect of the Y: not just the programs, it’s the welcoming and friendly staff and other members and a general air of humility and positivity (it’s really not a stuffy place and I love that about it, plus I love that it’s non-profit and not overpriced). Honestly I can’t think of anywhere else that so many people have smiled at my kids or said hello to us. And it makes me feel comfortable being friendly to other members too. It’s amazing!
beautiful, clean, and with plenty of rooms and equipment
Excellent
fun, creative, inclusive, active, community building
nice variety of classes - open gym, the pool, so many treadmills, bikes and more rooms for weights, stretching - spacious! - also friendly staff and people of all ages
Joined because of kids club. Like the view out of trees our the gym windows.
Diversity, friendly atmosphere, cost-effective, proximity
Classes are at good times for me (early) and very friendly people
Full range of programs and equipment.
Kids are happy with the teacher Amy
I like the fact that I can use my membership wherever I am, so I can start or end my day at the Central YMCA in San Jose, which has a warm, deep water pool for aquafitness, and then go about my day and add time with my exercise Rx at the El Camino YMCA, or exercise at the Morgan Hill YMCA so that I don’t waste time traveling and spending all day at a single Y.
Swimming is amazing, I wish they had more kids classes like chess club, dance, gymnastics or yoga for kids.
Great variety of classes!
Very nice gym and good spin classes

Facility is well kept. Employees are welcoming and helpful. The gym area is clean. All the windows provide an open, light area and nice view to the park and green outside.
I came to this Y as an extension of the El Camino Hospital Cardiac and pulmonary program 2 years ago, and stayed.
