I love water aerobics and wide range of classes.
I have been going to the Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield for some time now! I like the layout of the building and the wide variety of workout equipment that is available. As I continue to go I will be using more different types of exercise equipment.

Easy access, knowledge friendly staff! I would like to recognize Kasey and your lovely lady who keeps your workout area spotless! Her smiling face and greeting when I walk in the morning on your track are something I look forward to.
The track allows my wife to walk with me in a safe and comfortable way. Her poor eyesight and lower body weakness makes walking on sidewalks hazardous for her. Even the slightest crack in the concrete pose a tripping hazard.

The facility is adequate for workouts. I enjoy the indoor track for walking (a little) but still do most of my walking outdoors. My wife uses the pool three times a week. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I am enjoying working with my trainer, Angela Sponsel. She is an excellent trainer, very dedicated to the training area (always picking up after others and keeping the equipment clean and in order), and a very good motivator. I have not participated in any classes or programs.
I like Silver Sneakers Classic classes and shallow water aerobics. I do think the SSC classes should be held in a larger room.
The programs are very successful and useful for people who like to stay in shape.

I enjoy the cycling classes.
I only do Boom class every Monday and Wednesday. I joined to do water classes, but found the pool water temperature too cold. Would love to do a Friday boom class, but the instructor was too forceful using weights and I was injured. I will stick with Julie’s safer routine, she really knows her stuff for older clients. She teaches us to safely grip weights and not hurt ourselves. I don’t attend when she’s not there, I’m grateful she’s rarely absent. I’m getting stronger without injury, her classes are always full, that tells you something!

I absolutely love the water exercise program. I wish the pool water could be a little warmer. All of the instructors are so wonderful and make it fun. The front desk people are lovely too!
