The access to the pool is excellent (although I am looking forward to the day when it is open all day) and the temperature is conducive to a good swim work out. Locker room facilities are always clean and the staff is awesome!!! I drive from Mooresville!!!

We loved all the available exercise equipment, the track around the balcony of the gym, the extra indoor and outdoor fitness mats with beautiful views and garden space, and super helpful staff!
I love how irsay has everything. I wish the gym hours were longer so it was a little less crowded. Or, I wish the Athenaeum was expanded or “redesigned” to help take some of the demand off of Irsay. Athenaeum is so far beneath Irsay in terms of quality and the space.

Personalized instruction and nice facilities.
The YMCA has been an inclusive space where I can rejuvenate both my body and mind, and overall, I have no major complaints. The Irsay facility, in particular, meets all of my usual gym needs. However, one suggestion I have, based on personal experience, is the lack of an affordable option, such as a volunteer program, for members who have fallen on hard times like unemployment. Considering the YMCA's mission to serve all people, I hope this gap can be addressed. Being unemployed shouldn't prevent access to at least a limited experience with a community that has been instrumental in my healing process.
I will have to say EVERYTHING. I guess because it is spacious!

Love the Y very much. One thing I would suggest, is it possible to put a rug for a walkway from the locker room to the sauna? Or to just have people remove shoes before entering the pool area unless they are designated pool shoes?
