Technicians explain what they are going to do, listen to your concerns and are very friendly. I appreciate being able to call and speak to a live person rather than a recording when I call the office. Just knowing if an issue arises we can call and they will come.
I like being on their budget plan, not having to call when my tanks are low because of scheduled deliveries and the customer services is great!

Best customer service anywhere
Prior to Wednesday, I would have told anyone to get propane from anybody except Superior. After this years most recent unreasonably pricey delivery of ~77 gallons I had made my decision to switch providers when the tanks ran out. I was ready to hard pull my credit, pay a little extra, and get rid of Superior. Last year was already expensive and the first bill of the year put it at a projected level that very few consumers could sustain. This is compounding off of last years need be to switch to will-call because on a super opportune day last year, I had another predatorily priced delivery show up. It wasn’t even a full tank but it costed more than two tanks at even a slightly inflated cost. I called up the St. Johnsville branch very displeased and the rep there was nice enough and cut the price to something less absurd and told me to switch to will-call so there’s no surprises. Fine, that worked. Until this year, which neatly brings us back to Wednesday.
I had to call out of work on Wednesday and, sick and miserable, ignored a call from an unknown (the number showed up, I just didn’t recognize it) that left a message. Upon reading the transcript of the voicemail, I was blown away that it wasn’t a robot. Infact, it was the only person Superior employs that has ever given me a satisfactory exchange. The only person who ever actually listened to me as a person and not just a barrier from being off the phone. Your Rome branch CS rep ALAN (His name is Alan. He’s your best guy. Seriously.) had called to inform me that he had heard of my issues and had retroactively fixed the last delivery. Not only that, but he put me on a plan and assured me that this winter will be doable. He talked with me a bit about how the industry works and the small bit of wisdom imparted makes going forward much less frustrating.
I am actually now quite happy with where I am at with Superior and will not be changing providers*.
*- Contingent on the necessary fact that Rome Branch customer service representative ALAN is employed with Superior Plus Propane. Alan is the only reason I still have an account with Superior Plus Propane and if he leaves, so do I. Should he choose to retire (His retirement account match should be reviewed and bolstered), I will only work with a replacement deemed suitable by the aforementioned retiree.
That’s it. Alan at the Rome branch deserves not only a nice small party in the break room with choice of pie or cake, a RAISE, a HEALTHY smattering of extra PTO days and a nice Christmas bonus. Additionally, he needs to be recognized across the board for how to save accounts from walking away and how to treat customers.
I will only be telling people to switch to Superior and will only give them Alan’s number. He’s literally your saving grace.
