I've been a patient of Dr. Herzog for over a decade. WHY? Because he is great at what he does for me. He is professional, personal and he cares about my health. I would highly recommend him. I have other family members that are his patients and they can testify to the same.
Mary the receptionist is also great. Quick to get you processed in and helpful with any questions with insurance and appointments. She's a saint!!!
I experienced a high level of professionalism combined with a very high degree of empathy. I know healthcare professionals have a goal to improve the health of patients. Find the problem, create a plan for success, and then apply the solution. I don’t think your team could have been better at that. And while doing all that, everyone from Dr. Murthy, pre-op personnel, post-op personnel, even reception and the person who wheeled me to my car, made me feel like I was the only patient in the building that day and they couldn’t wait to take care of me. I had a genuine feeling of great concern from everyone I encountered.

Very competent doctor wonderful bedside manner.
Dr. Chavin is great. But I had a hassle from a "triage nurse," and your internal system. Dr. Chavin said I needed a CT STAT, but your system's printout failed to show the STAT part. So I got a runaround from UChicago Ingalls. I spoke to the triage nurse, who told me I shouldn't abuse the word STAT. I wasn't. I was a medical writer for more than 30 years. I know what it means and what it means to abuse it.
I went back to your office to straighten this out. I was told this was sometimes a problem.
The receptionist printed out the order and wrote in large letters STAT.
The triage nurse called me back after she discovered she had made a mistake. Not exactly an apology.
