The location make it difficult to find parking, and it does get frustrating paying everytime.
The mats are very close together; it would be better if there was a bit more space between people. Having to have a mat by the door was a bit bothersome.
the class was quite full and crowded so my arm movements were limited with my neighbour.
I appreciate real estate is expensive in Vancouver and you don't want to limit classes so I was grateful to get in but it was sardine like!
Great space and beautiful views!
I would really like to see hatha yoga classes geared to less experienced students and/or people with injuries. Also, there are simply too many standing asanas in most of the hatha yoga classes I have attended. Often, I see people doing these asanas wrongly, and I wonder if they will eventually injure themselves since I have rarely seen teachers correcting them.
Love Steve Fazzari's class. The time is excellent because you still have your Saturday night. Great comprehensive schedules and some really good teachers. Really love City Studio, Kits, and Granville spaces (I find Sun a bit claustrophobic)
Staff were great. First time at the studio and your check in process is streamlined and efficient. Everyone friendly and welcoming.
There for prenatal and the class was wonderful but very crowded. Neat to be around so many other pregnant women.
Clean studio, welcoming, excellent classes
People are friendly, that is very important!
Everything
The class are unlimited all the teachers and staff are wonderful
Semperviva is a community yoga studio
They take care of you in everything you want to do
All the workshops are amazing too.
Thank you for yoga
I like your instructors. I had a great class with Wesley on Saturday.
Lisa Dumas is incredible. More of her please and thank you!
Only request have tea on for workshops if possible.
- Classes are overcrowded: please limit numbers so that there is enough room for each participant to do the poses without touching their neighbours.
- Insufficient instruction on proper alignment, which is very unsafe, with a high risk of injury: please ensure your instructors are trained to understand the risks associated with yoga poses, especially lower back injuries, neck injuries, etc., and to provide instruction (especially as classes include a full range of skill and fitness levels)
- Poor air circulation (after a class it's steamy and smelly): please improve ventilation
Thanks!
A good instructor, and a good system for shuffling people in and out (with a card swipe for regulars). The drawback is the rooms are very crowded, so it is hard for tall people to avoid hitting other people with their arms or legs during some poses.
I love your extensive class schedule and your great teachers, friendly staff.
I am an old member returning to try and fit some Kundalini classes into my schedule. I enjoy this type of yoga, I find it can fill up the soul as well as work out the body.
Professional instructor and friendly staff. Excellent choice of different classes and location
Great classes and hi trust throughout studio and staff
This studio tends to be crowded. Wish there was more space in between the mats so that I don’t have to touch my neighbour while practicing
I only took one class at the kits location and although everyone was really friendly I personally found the space a little too cool and big with too many people. I also took restorative and in 75 mins we did 3 poses and then savasana. The teacher was sweet but I think a few more poses should be added and perhaps less explanation?
Great practice space - large and clean. Staff are very kind and helpful.
Close to home, great teachers!
The studio was extremely stuffy, and it got WAY too hot in there (it felt like I was at a hot yoga place until the instructor finally cracked the window). The room wasn’t very inviting, and there weren’t many windows. Looked kind of like a storage room. That being said, the class was nice, the instructor was friendly, and I love Sempervivas OTHER studios. I really think this room might be turning people away... I will not be returning to this location, even though I live very close.
Great variety of times, styles and instructors.
Efficient, inviting, accessible
Lovely studio, friendly staff, good variety of classes and teachers.
Quiet, dark, relaxing, calming, not frantic, even when busy - that room has such a lovely feel because it always feels in shadowsm
Clean large yoga space.

Parking is easy

I love this studio. The entrance just gets very cramped. I don't know if there is a way around this? Is there a possibility of putting a separate locker room somewhere? It just gets very dirty taking shoes on and off in the same place people track mud and rain water in from outside.
Perhaps high shelves in the hallways for shoes only?
