Good variety of programs and schedules available
My recommendation rating has gone down. It is due to the overall lack of quality change rooms, and staffing issues.. The 18+ is now too small for the number of members using it at peak times. There are too few showers and they often smell of urine and aren’t cleaned often or thoroughly enough. Also, there is a lack of trained knowledgeable aquafit instructors. Also, there are many people on the workout floor wearing dirty running shoes (ones they also wear outside) and sitting in weight machines doing nothing for far too long, with no one monitoring any of that. I recommended that during sign-up and/or orientation of a new member, they are given clear guidelines regarding acceptable footwear, showering hygiene expectations as well as informing them to shower before entering the pool. It would also be helpful for staff to monitor the work out floor and ask “machine hoggers” to finish up and move onto their next exercise. Lastly. It would be a very good idea to put kit lockers in the change rooms to store items used daily. Ones in which we are assigned and allowed to keep our locks on them permanently.
We just signed up so haven’t used any facilities yet.

It’s about the inclusive environment. You always feel welcome and the staff go out of their way to make sure access and programs are barrier free. Much appreciated!! I have and will recommend the Stoneycreek Y! The attachment to the library is also fantastic for families with kids.
Wish list: a playground outside for the kids on the Y grounds and increased public swim times (especially for kids who can’t be in camps during the day).

Excellent instructors at aqua fit.
I like the building which is large and I have space to exercise.
Really like the variety of classes offered. The level of the class leaders is great. And facilities are very clean and well maintained, easy parking, friendly staff.
I love the Aquafit classes. You get to combine music, exercise and fun as well as making many new friends.
