Welcoming, inclusive and fun
Public pool (although I don’t use it), large facilities, and gymnasium. I like that a lot of young people (youth) are able to use your facilities.
I really like the aquafit, water walking and gentle joints. The instructors do a great job. I like the pass we buy and gives us the opportunity to attend classes when we are able to get there.
That everything is in one place, from swing pool to yoga. Also, the great Team that give everything to Us. They are friendly and knowledgeable.

The YMCA Stoney Creek has very nice and responsible staff. They have a great variety of programs and activities, the gym is well equipped, the pool is well kept and the atmosphere is amazing.

We enjoy the swim lessons, play room, and newly renovated workout area. However I’m not a huge fan of the change in swim lessons time for the parent & tot classes. It used to be at 4:30 and is now 5:05 leaving very very little time to get home and feed my little dinner before bedtime. Was there a reason for this shift? I feel older kids are better suited to a later lesson than children under 3. We’ve had a lot of difficult evenings since the change and it no longer aligns with preschool/daycare pickups, whereas we used to be able to head directly over after picking up our daughter. We’re trying to make it work but considering a change in facilities due to the disruption in meal and bedtime, and sleep quality with eating so late as well since we now arrive home close to 6pm, and bedtime is 7pm for my two year old. It’s also extremely packed at that time in the change rooms with showers and change rooms being unavailable for lengthy periods compared to the earlier lesson, which is tough with very small children. The showers are also EXTREMELY hot with no temperature control aside from the one accessible shower (the second one attached to the bathroom has been broken for a while). Thank you.

My wife and I attend the aquafit classes. We really enjoy the variation of instructors.
I like the aquafit as the leaders make it fun and change up the music. I have signed up for light and lively on the wait list to see if I can expand my horizons.
