It is very close to where we live.
Love the weekly themes and the age-appropriate activities. The counselors are fun and enthusiastic, and they inspire respect by respecting the campers. The camp is extremely well run. The leadership is responsive and helpful. Our family has a several year history with the summer camp and after school programs. We'll be back!

My son loved it
We love that our kids stay active throughout the day. The counselors are engaging and there's a wide variety of activities to do. I would love to see more outdoor sports and skill building for all camp attendees. I would also love to see transportation available from the Midlothian site to camp Thunderbird. Travel can be prohibitive for my children due to both parents working in the home.

Loved the flag football camp--that is hard to find for middle school aged kids as it's switching to tackle for the 11-12 and up. Would love you all to consider a fall/spring league for that age range so we can avoid tackle until high school!
Love ninja warrior camp and wish it was offered at Swift creek!

That children are able to move around, play outside, swim, make a mess while staying safe and having fun!
The staff team for Saponi is AWESOME! Love to hear the stories my three share with me from each day's adventures. The pride they show when sharing where each bead came from or reading the (positive :)) "let's chat" sheets - is very uplifting. Thank you for keeping my kids raised right during the summer!

My child has been with the YMCA since she was 2 yrs old, first in Charlottesville and now in midlothian. I have loved them from the start…the teachers have always been great and Wednesday loves all the counselors.

All the staff I’ve encountered have been genuinely kind and friendly. My kids have loved the camps and the outdoor swimming pool.
Everything!! Every day after camp our son talks about his Amazing day!! He gets to swim every day, make new friends and engage in new activities!!
Easy drop off and pick up locations. Clearly marked, and my child has a great time at the camp programs. Like the different types of program and activities offered.

Everything. The staff and director are awesome and they make it fun for the kids with all kinds of activities. The director is great-Ms. Harvey keeps all the families in the loop of everything that goes on at the ymca and she responds to any questions the parents have.
