Small, well organized, friendly and receptive staff, we are so positively impressed with YMCA Metro North.
We appreciate the proximity of a YMCA so that our family can swim year-round and take lessons to improve swimming skills. We also participate in the summer camp at this facility, and loved our experience last summer.
Safe, fun, and great sized gym.
My daughter loves Basketball lessons, they play and learn. The teacher makes the classes fun and my daughter is getting better every day 🙌

I like the wide range of programs and activities. The Y successfully encompasses all the possible interests of its members. If you’re looking for Tai Chi or a Nerf Blaster class for your child, the Y has it!
I love the Live Strong Program and as I feel comfortable with the different machines I will build my own program. I plan to take some classes. The facility seems well run, staff is friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean. I have been impressed. I am enjoying my membership so far.

I like the pool, and the people there. The swimming lessons are good. My child and her friends liked the summer camp. And all the rest: I never did anything with that, so no opinion about that.
Michelle makes everyone feel welcome in her classes. She is friendly and patient plus she always has a smile. Her positive attitude radiates throughout the room!

Well maintained facility. I use the fitness center and the equipment is always well maintained and the staff helpful and friendly. Locker/shower areas need work but I believe renovations are in the planning stage.

I have been a member of the Melrose Family YMCA for more than 30 years. It's a wonderful place for the whole family
Excellent facilities and staff
I like playing pickleball at the Y. It would be a good idea if there were additional drop in times for beginners to learn and also additional drop in times for intermediate players. Then the skill levels would be more even for drop in times. Also it would be good if there were pickleball drop in times in the evenings. Right now they are all at noon and if someone is working, they cannot participate in the drop in times.

Small group size and dedicated teachers. I also like that there is always a lifeguard on duty who is vigilant and keeps his/her eyes on all children.
Friendly staff and ease of registering
Morning aqua classes provide a great variety of exercise choices; instructors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Pickle ball league great idea and fun
Staff members are helpful.
Coach Ian is great. I have a four year old girl that has a fear of getting into the pool since she was a baby. Coach Ian (somehow) got her in without a fight and she talks about how Coach Ian is so nice and helps her be the best swimmer in the world.

The pool is so nice! It's larger, cleaner, warmer, and more attractive than any other gym pool I've been to, including the ones at brand new, fancy gyms. It's amazing you have lifeguards there all the time, too. I've been taking Thursday morning water aerobics, and that's super fun, too. It's not enough of a workout for me (I'm 57) unless I do it while treading water the whole time in the slightly deeper end, but that works great for me. I'm just happy to have something to do in the pool other than swim laps (so boring). And I like the camaraderie and great music!
