I am satisfied in the direction work is going after 90 days. A caring compassionate staff in the Hampton Roads Office. Willing to make changes in order to promote growth within the company and community.
Great management team great place to work
My care designer is very flexible as I do have another job, and she works with me where ever I need hours when they are available for CG to work the shift
Amazing company to work for. Kaylene is very passionate about what she does and cares a lot about us and the clients. There is an amazing work environment. Best company I have ever worked for.
It’s a great learning experience, especially for future nurses.
Flexibility
I give this score because of the support the leadership team provides.
I think Nurse Next Door is a great place to work with a really good working environment and the shifts definitely makeup for some of the driving time which helps make it worth it. Plus we get to spend our time caring for some really cool people and hopefully learn something new everyday.
Work environment
Great management team
Scheduling is always flexible!
A very family orient and professional, caring place to work as well as go out of their way to make sure that the clients and staff are happy and that all of their needs are met.
I love the NND. They are very caring and tentative!!
Communication and support. The entire team cars about each other and that clearly comes from the top down. The coffee incentives are really nice also!
Compassion look out for the employees show their appreciation and praise
Its a great environment to work in but if you're not willing to drive very much then this might not be the best thing
Not enough benefits for the amount of traveling you have to do.
I am pretty new. Didn't want to give anything more until I've had more experience. So far, yes. I have told people about the job and how much i love it, but want more longevity at the job before i tell anyone else they would love it.
Flexibility.
Shifts are always available
We are told we need no experience. Go through orientation and it describes confidently that you will be trained and placed with a client that best matches the caregiver. Its not true. Its a mad scramble to cover shifts/visits. And the confidence of a new caregiver is no concern. You get thrown in and hopefully fake it until the shift is over. After talking to other caregivers they've had similar experiences, and are just working until they can find something new during the pandemic or go back to school.
They are very kind and flexible.
This company is very accommodating. Everyone is nice and the response time is great. Love the NND team we have.
The work environment is very flexible and there’s always things to do to help the clients
good company to work for
I would like to bring up an incident that happened recently that made me give this rating. On December 16th, I fell ill. I also had to work that day. My sickness had come upon me very suddenly with no warning, and even though I went through every avenue to try to make myself feel better, there was no way I could work my shift later that day. I called care services and notified them that I could not work my shift but I also text the NND office phone to give them a heads up as well. I understand now that there was no need to text the office phone, but at the time I did not know this was wrong. The protocols/rules had changed recently and I guess
I wasn't sure how to call out properly. Since the information was given through the NND group chat, I had no hard copy on how to or not to call out. And since I have never called out before I was not sure for that reason as well. I expected a call/text back from NND office saying they hope I feel better but this is not what I received. Instead, a few minutes later many messages were sent in the group chat regarding how to call out and if it was done incorrectly, staff would receive infractions. This in itself was not bad to say, but I think if it had been sent directly to me, I would not have been offended. Instead I received no text or call, but instead stern messages in the group chat directed towards me and what I had done. I was offended by the way the company handled this situation and for this reason I give my rating as a 7.
I've only worked a week and don't want to give a 10 already.
Communication and open door policy
Very nice, understanding, explains everything in detail & very flexible. They have faith in you and your growth in the company.

Nurse Next Door is very accepting and can accommodate to anyone's schedule which is really great because when I was in school my availability was very slim and they still worked with me
