Egym
I just did the E gym for the first time after doing my orientation a couple days ago and loved it! It’s so cool having access to this kind of technology, especially as someone with ADHD who wants to get stronger but feels overwhelmed with all the options in a traditional gym setting. Would love to see this as an option at High Street as that’s much closer to where I live, but also happy to come to Whitaker to use it. The only issue I ran into today was that there was a gentleman using the machines while I was who was doing multiple sets on each machine, and there was a point when I got up to where he was and he didn’t move. I didn’t know what to do so I just kind of stood around and waited patiently and then he confronted me and told me I should go around him, but with it being my first time, I was looking forward to completing the full circuit as laid out. It also threw off several people behind us. I eventually went over to a treadmill and used that for a while until he got further along and then came back to do the machines I hadn’t done yet and that was fine, but just awkward. I’d love some guidance about how to handle that kind of situation in the future. Thank you!!!
The people are the best thing about Whitaker Y. The staff and the clients are the nicest people you could ever meet.
The noise volume in the program/class exercise room is too loud though. People's hearing is being damaged by this excessive volume. Tone it down, please.

Great variety for all ages!
Nice clean facility for a workout.
I appreciate the ymcas national membership as well as the quality lifting equipment provided.
Egym is a great program. Easy to use and I like that it challenges me to work harder to achieve my goals.
People are very nice, also employees, and the facilities are always clean and well kept.
I attend the Senior exercise class 4-5 days a week and have been since before Covid. I thoroughly enjoy the instructors and class members and this is a big part of my live.
Before I started going to Y-it hadn't opened yet-I went to Planet Fitness for a few months. The exercise area was all on same floor and the weight-lifting area was right there among machines, There were signs up in WL area that told people they needed to set the weights down, not just drop them.
WL area at Whittier Y has no such signage and those bone-heads just drop them. Our exercise room is directly below that area and is a BIG distraction to our classes. And an even bigger annoyance,
I would think that management/people[ in charge might do something to change this behavior. It's not only seniors who use that room but children as well.I think everyone would appreciate it.
Please consider it.
Thank you,

everyone is professional and cordial.
Great group classes
Friendly instructors. Good class selection.
The Whitaker Family YMCA is an excellent physical service place.
Love the E GYM
Friendly staff
Wish there were more spray bottles around to clean gym equipment
Adult oriented workout sessions.
I LIKE THE WALKING AREA AND i LIKE the swimming area.
Everyone is friendly. And the class instructors,
Do not push you. You go at your own pace. I'm just now getting back into the gym and I love it.
Love the childcare center. Facilities are top notch.
However, lane pool is a bit of a letdown.
Only 3 lanes, shallow end is extremely shallow (can’t flip turn or you’ll hit your head), and there are no indicator flags on one end (safety issue, so if you’re doing a back stroke you don’t know when to turn over).

Cleanliness and advanced equipment
