Great water fitness instructor
The facility is a "gem" in so many ways. It's clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The location is ideal for anyone living in this part of Metro Detroit. The programs are many in number and varied, and quite a few of them are geared toward senior fitness. The Macomb Y is located on the edge of downtown Mount Clemens in a neighborhood that feels safe, no matter what time of day or night. I've never had a problem with finding a parking space. The people who work out at this Y are people like me--older, middle-class, and courteous. (No bullies.) I feel comfortable being around them, as I do being around the staff. I joined this Y not even two weeks ago. So far, it's been a rewarding experience.

The staff are so friendly and helpful! They take time to listen and respond to any concerns or questions, or just to have a brief chat! There are a nice variety of group classes and lots of equipment available (at least in the morning/early afternoon hour’s when I visit). Very clean and healthy environment. Highly recommend!

The people. From the wonderful friendly faces at the front desk, to the most patient understanding swim instructors for my special needs daughter, to the all of the wonderful class instructors and trainers, and the friendly and patient maintenance staff, and to top it off, every member I have met and swam with, have been such a joy to be around. My whole family really enjoys going to the Y. Keep it up you awesome fabulous people!

Gym equipment is always in great working order. Team members are welcoming and friendly. The facility is clean, restrooms are stocked. Spritzers and paper towels are available for member use on the equipment. Hours of operation fit my haphazard schedule.
I've enjoyed the classes that I attended, Jill the instructor is very good. The front desk people are friendly as well as the other ladies in the exercise class I'm excited to learn about more activities available at the y
