After the Jewish Community Center closed its athletic area, I was looking for a new club to join.
I was very pleasantly surprised to find the YMCA had such a terrific physicality. Also, the staff and members are very friendly.
I am in Silver Sneakers and considering Swim Exercise. When I enter the Y in Farmington HIlls, all the staff are very friendly, remember my name and answer my questions. They always make sure that those that are, "Regulars" are taken care of. They consider all people, "Regulars".
There is always information on the tables and the posters and pictures are inviting and uplifting. The Y is decorated to uplift, focus on success and happiness. That is beautiful!

The Farmington YMCA is an excellent location for swimming. It has a six lane 25m pool, well lit and well ventilated and kept at a comfortable water temperature for lap swimming. There is a welcoming group of Masters swimmers who periodically swim there as well.

Very friendly and helpful staff at 5:30 am!
Has every I enjoy . Lap swimming with many lanes, indoor track for walking on bad weather days, hot tub on cold winter days plus yoga classes. Most exciting that my insurance pays the tab as long as you have silver sneakers.
