My one suggestion during COVID times is to make sure there are air purifiers in each station in the main room, and each massage room. Maybe you've done that (there was one near my reflexology chair near the entrance) but I didn't see others.
Kume continues to be a wonderful option for massage and relaxation. The staff - both massage therapists and spa staff, provide such a positive experience with exceptional customer service.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere of the spa really puts you at ease. I absolutely love the infrared sauna + Korean scrub followed by an hour long massage. It is the best way to spend your Sunday afternoon in Downtown Oakland. I took my mom and sister here when they visited me from San Diego and they enjoyed it so much. They said it was one of the most gentle and respectful massages they have ever received and we all go to various massage locations in San Diego a lot.
I really enjoyed how I felt after, I’ve never experienced a full body scrub before it left my body feeling fresh and soft.

My reflexologist applied just the right amount of pressure to massage my neck, shoulders, calves, and feet. He also treated all the right pressure points. Great job!

Tina was awesome!! She work some muscles that have been sore for so long!! It hurt but it was needed. I already signed up my friend to come to her!! Thank you again!!
The body scrub and sauna were lovely. I would like to suggest that the therapist be stocked with lotion for after the treatment... She went out and found some, but she was surprised when I asked! She had just scrubbed my skin almost raw- it definitely needed to be moisturized!! Many Thanks,

I have been coming for over 7 years...maybe eight? I have had talented massage therapists throughout my time at Kume. Tim is my usual body massage guy and I enjoy Tony for a relaxing foot massage. I look forward to relaxation at every visit!
