We love the basketball program. Nick is a phenomenal leader. His coaches, Zach and Sarah are my son's current coaches and are fantastic with the kids. Your lucky to have them on staff.
The Y is one of the jewels of this country. It is all about community and health. It is a truly democratic institution. You always feel like someone is listening and that cannot be said about many institutions.

I think youand the entire staff is doing a terrific job . The facility , programming has improved and is great! I know that we are out of the covid era, however , how pleasant ( and healthy) it is and would be to have some aerobic equipment out doors under a canvas roof ( from the sun) . The entrance to the children’s wing has a small good place for this . Even if it just had a few machines , ( rowing, slip. Tread) . It would set an example for other Ys, maybe some regional publicity, along with hand washing stations . Washing hands often with water and soap and outdoor activities are healthy , not just to prevent covid. Thank you for what you do!

I love the little Salem Y - like the space/the classes/the fitness center and the location / ease to my home. It's walkable and a true community center.
I will say that I'm very unhappy with your presence and destruction of Pioneer Village - shameful what you're doing there. Return the camp to Naumkeg and leave Pioneer Village alone as a historical gem of the city.
Everyone needs to exercise, and Salem Y is great place to do so.

We love the theatre program! My girls have participated in the one last summer and a school vacation camp as well as the current production. It’s such a great experience and community and they are looking forward to the summer camp as well!
Enrichment and solid support from staff
The staff of the Salem Y are so kind and friendly. I feel like it’s a very judgment-free environment where I’m valued. I especially love Mark’s Tai Chi classes on Monday and greatly hope they continue! I’ve been struggling with migraines from an injury as well as other health issues that have impacted my ability to exercise, and having a regularly scheduled class that’s accessible and helpful to people with different needs for their body has been wonderful. Mark is a great teacher and has forged a safe and happy little community in his Monday class.

I enjoyed very much going to the Y in Salem.
Friendly staff, excellent instructor, stellar pilates and yoga offerings.
The program is open to 6 pm, which is very helpful for coinciding with work times. My son always seems to be doing a project, most days, that he enjoys. They spend time outside, weather permitting, which is great because he loves being outdoors. The staff spend time making sure the kids are occupied.

My child is happy most of the time, however I feel like more and more incidents are happening due to the games and activities been offered.
It’s very accessible to get around in the building. They have a wide amount of classes that can be taken. I find it always very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I love that they have added the little café it’s a great place to meet friends.
Its more than just someone watching your children. There provide activities, homework help and more. I love my local Y
Amazing Director! She is so invested in the care and success of the program. You can see the improvements in the center since she has been hired.
