Member Testimonials
It is clean and Wendy’s welcoming personality makes it non-intimidating.
The teacher, Karissa, is great with the kids. She works so well with them and rolls with the chaos of trying to teach preschoolers gymnastics so well. The activities and goals are appropriate for the age group and both my daughter and I have only good things to say
The casual atmosphere and instructors
Miss Lindsay is extremely patient and kind! She is a great coach
I love the Y for my
Childrens basketball, floor hockey, and ninja time. I am disappointed in how the cheer program that we belong to is being handled, and will be searching for a new cheer team however.
I'd like my daughter to join
I enjoy playing Pickleball and the Y has hours that fit perfectly into my lifestyle
I also like the social aspect that the Y has to offer.
Community!
First, I'll say that the age is extremely hard to balance between too advanced and too unstructured. I think we've witnessed both so far. There was a day where the coaches seemed unprepared and it turned into a free for all session, which isn't all bad if the kids had access to different balls - even just a few kick balls or something. Even though it's only been three weeks, I'd like to see more consistency with the coaches (we've had different coaches each week). I'm hoping the one week of unknown was a fluke, since I'm not sure tag is really a sport - I'm hoping to see basketball, t-ball, floor hockey, kick ball, etc. Even hurdles and other track type events would be fun.
Either way, the opportunity is great. Pros so far have been the time of the class, the soccer classes, and that it's included as a parent/child class (although I think more parent involvement would be nice - not that that is from the Y's end, since the email sent out to remind parents to participate was nice). Love the idea/set up and looking forward to seeing it pan out!
Ideal location, modern facility, and great class experience for my kiddo.
Coach Darren works very well with the mixed aged group for soccer. He shows lots of patience with the kids.
Clean facilities
Appropriate equipment for work out. A convivial and friendly atmosphere including staff and other members. Convenient hours of operation. A wide variety of programs, services and exercise opportunities avaiable.
Clean, great staff. All I am looking for in a gym is there...pickleball, yoga, and machines. Thank you!
I love the Plaistow Y. It's clean, it's almost never crowded and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. I have zero complaints about this facility or the people that keep it all up to snuff.
The gymnasiums are great!
Chasing a dream
The staff was fantastic in helping not only provide care but navigate the inconsistencies that come with a DCYF case. They were aleays so kind and caring to my son
The convenience and times for drop off and pick up my child came home every day smiling and all of the ninja course
The building seems to be in great shape and I enjoy that it is not over crowed when I go.
Ethan had a great week at Adventure Camp! Wish you offered it all summer long!
The Plaistow Y does a wonderful job with their summer camp program. Thank you, Plaistow Y.

Great Place to work out staff is very courteous and friendly and the place is clean
Easy going leaders enjoy their job; Ninja course!
The coach was outstanding. He kept the kids moving. Didn’t let the more experienced players push aside the new players. It was a great mix and balance for the 1st and 2nd graders. My son really enjoy it and learned a lot.
My son did the preschool baseball and had so much fun , I try to get him involved in sports because he is an only child and I want him to have plenty of friends , it was a great way for him to make new friends, he’s also now enrolled in the preschool ninja class , we are really looking forward to this

Very clean. Great Pickleball courts. Lovely staff.
