Facilities and staff
The instructors do a great job explaining skills and making it fun. My daughter loves going and looks forward to it.
Coach Clementine is great and helping our 9 year old son catch up on swimming safely.
An ear infection and then the pandemic got us behind a few years.

My son is constantly engaged. He can’t wait to get out of the car in the morning and is exhausted when he gets back in the car after camp, he is learning sportsmanship. The counselors are fantastic! Coach, Alexia and Coach Zach as well as Coach Mike are his favorites. He can talk to them. He can tell them the good things and the bad. They treat my son so well. He loves gaga ball. He looks forward to playing it every day.
Addie is so on top of the logistics and getting kids to classes, especially at the start of a new session. I also like that each class covers a range of activities over time, so not only are kids building skills, but they are being exposed to new skills as well.
the coaches and staff are wonderful. even thought sometimes my kids have a hard time at drop off, they are happy and exhausted at pick up. we are new to Marblehead and this has been a wonderful place for them to meet people.
The sports mania camp is great! My son loves it! He has learned so much! Alexia Hamilton is a great coach! She is empathetic with the kids! She is smart, kind and lots of fun! She does so well with the kids. My son was going to have some dental work done and she sat him down payed some extra attention to him and because of her he felt brave enough to have his teeth pulled. It not only meant alot to him but me as his parent as well. She comes over to the car everyday for pick up and drop off. She makes the kids feel comfortable and included!
Love the pool!
We love the program and all activities. We love that kids get plenty of outside time, create art, and have a safe, artful/colorful, and joyful place to be. I loved the kids art show. I was expecting only the older kids to be included, but our infant class was included too and that was awesome!
The teachers and staff at this school are what really make this place amazing. Everyone is happy to see all the kids. Every kid runs to their rooms with joy in the morning. Everyone is having fun, even on the hard days.
The staff are excellent and go way above and beyond to be inclusive.
Our son was accommodated by the teachers when there was a special classroom snack for Mother’s Day. He has food allergies. We didn’t ask nor would we expect the teachers to do that and we so appreciated the kind gesture.
We also had lots of happy tears because for the first time, we had two Mother’s Day gifts and individualized cards with our names, one for each of us two Moms. It was very moving that the teachers would think of that detail. We also had huge laughs when we received two Father’s Day gifts and a modified card with super woman instead of Superman and it said “it’s super to have two moms!” It was a hoot!
We also love that there is plenty of outside time, art, play and group activities. We love that our son can receive early intervention service in the classroom and be with his peers with his specialist and teachers for peer to peer learning.

I love the aqua aerobics classes in the small pool. However, the Sunday morning class at nine has become overcrowded and I would love for an 8 am class to be added.

Modern, clean facility with a broad offering of structured programs as well as a well equipped fitness center for those who prefer to do their own workout. Was pleased with the instructors who led the two group fitness classes that I participated in. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
I love the Y's value as a community resource and a swimming venue.

Staff and equipment
Primarily the incredible teachers. We put our *full* trust in these phenomenal educators to love, care for, and educate our children every day. They truly go above and beyond their duties - in so many ways - and we are so grateful.
We also love access to swimming, gymnastics, "sports mania", art, the playgrounds, exposure to new books/people/careers/experiences... the physical and mental opportunities provided to our children here are endless and top notch.

Everything! All the staff members are so friendly. They are very much involve with all the kids. Love that they have different activities everyday. Always have a nice conversation about what they did that day or what my child did that was funny and sweet. My child love it here. at the end of the day when I pick him up he always gives a hug goodbye to all of his teachers.

The staff!! The team at the ELC is special; their care and expertise and unmatched, and their ability to create a caring, welcoming and inclusive community is commendable.
My family experienced a hardship in the form of the death of an immediate family member. It was an awful time, but Sarah and the team showed such compassion and extended such warmth, humanity and professionalism that when I look back at that time I will remember the ELC as the only bright spot.
I truly love this place
My daughter is a Ranger fan! She has had an impeccable experience from the moment she gets on the boat until she comes home. She's gone snorkeling, kayaking, swimming in the ocean, and made a ton of friends along the way! A big shout out to all the counselors who turn these moments into memories for our children.
