My children now only attend the after school program at their school and it is great. The staff are so friendly and always engage with the kids. They always have fun activities. It is also very convenient for them to leave school and go right to after school in the same building.

Quality staff, beautiful and safe building
My 7 year old and 9 year old son have lessons with Jenn on Wednesdays and it’s been great this fall. They’ve already learned and improved their strokes and stamina.

I am a member of the Northshore Ys and usually use the Salem Y focused on swimming. The Marblehead staff at the membership desk has been very welcoming and helpful, as have your water aerobics/exercise instructors.
From a lap swimming perspective, you have 2 additional lanes, so I have had no difficulty getting a lane to swim in the morning. And, the array of water aerobic/exercise classes is outstanding. After the Salem Y pool area improvements are complete I am planning on still swimming a couple of days per week in Marblehead.
There is one improvement that could be made. The lifeguard staff could use some feedback on welcoming people into the pool area. They seem to avoid eye contact and one thing I was taught when I trained as a lifeguard, having visual contact as people enter and leave the pool helps to build awareness of who is in the pool area. Sometimes accidents happen outside of the pool not in the water!

Fantastic facilities
It’s bright, clean, has great equipment and is big enough that I always find open equipment. I also enjoy the classes and like the teachers.
Staff are wonderful. Mt daughter and I love the cheer program.
The shallow pool where aqua dance is held is HEATED! How wonderful. And the deep water fitness class is very good also, a good work out, and instructor is very knowledgeable. I am there only as Salem pool is under repair, as I walk, it’s more convenient for me, and more healthy for me to walk every day, but have enjoyed Marblehead pool facilities and instructors.
Full year cheer at the LVO Y is the highlight of my daughters life. The coaches are amazing at what they do.
The teachers treat my kids like they are their own. The kids come home tired from all of their play and activities. We've had a lot of the teachers there help our children grow and we have loved every single one!
The variety of classes and the schedule.
Cleanliness is also tops.
Building is clean and spacious. Equipment is regularly maintained and current. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The ease of afterschool program being at their school. The staff seem great from what little interaction I have and from what my son tells me.
As a first time mom, it was really difficult to entrust someone else with the care of your baby but the moment we met Ms. Ro, we felt completely at ease. Everyday I drop her off, she reaches for Ms. Ro or Ms. Mikayla which is exactly what a mama-heart needs to see. Everyday I pick her up, she's SO happy. The teachers are attentive and really care about Campbells well-being - offering advice and guidance when needed and trying their very best to stick to our schedule at home.
An example of how much they care - my husband and I had expressed we were so excited to have Campbell participate in the children's Halloween parade and they let us know the infant room wasn't going to be participating in the parade due to logistics. We were bummed but understood. Later that week, before the parade started, one of the teachers called and said they had figured out a solution and would be participating so if we wanted to bring Campbell in in her costume - they would walk her through the parade (even though the parade was on a day that she doesn't attend daycare). Going above and beyond for our family meant so much to us. We are VERY happy with our experience at LVO so far.

Clear Communication, supportive teachers and staff, feedback
The teachers are great and the staff does an excellent job communicating center news and upcoming events. Our son enjoys going to the program, is communicating much better since starting, and talks about his teachers and schoolmates at home.
Its a great place to workout, take classes etc. Highly recommend it!
