Friendly people & good equipment

I have been coming out of the LVO YMCA feeling good, and that is because the people who I encounter make me feel good. Cara, John at the front desk, Skye Laralyn, and it’s the members. Seeing families happy and smiling spreads to me. The dressing facilities like private family rooms, womens and mens locker rooms are very important to keep families feeling safe and happy. I noticed an email about a design that will take away the private family rooms and that will negatively impact not only families but those with disabilities who need privacy. Please consider keep private family locker rooms to preserve everyone’s safety happiness and health.

Flexible schedule and excellent facilities/equipment.

The building is immaculate. The staff are friendly, and there are many varieties and levels of group exercise being offered on a daily basis. I just wish parking was a little easier.

Children’s Island was an amazing experience for my daughter. The counselors were fantastic—so thoughtful and kind, and always brought the enthusiasm. She’ll be back!!

My daughters (13 & 9) attended Children's Island and absolutely loved it yet again! Staff is so well organized and all the kids seem to love them. They look forward to camp every year!

We live at the Y! Mostly, because of our kids who who got to the ELC and are frequent guests at Kids Club on the weekends. We are frequent 7 days/week visitors, and besides the scheduling issues we have with some of the activities for 1 and 3 yr olds, we feel incredibly happy to be members of the Y.

My son had so much fun and I liked that there was a half day option. Fun activities for the kids & friendly staff.

Children’s Island changed my son life for the best ! He had the best summer !!! Thank you to all the amazing staff from admin to each and every counselor. Thanks for amazing summer !

It’s a great place—friendly!

The fitness center is spacious, not overly crowded, and contains state of the art equipment. The entire facility is always clean and well maintained. It is safe for seniors like myself. It is a family friendly environment. The staff are always cordial, professional and helpful.

It is so big and beautiful! And the pools are a welcome relief!
