We haven't been to the Ipswich YMCA in a number of years. It seems to have all of the exercise and the aerobic type equipment. However, much of the equipment is crammed in to the existing main space. I'd like to see newer equipment brought in and perhaps utilize the area to the right of the main lobby to allow for a better flow and spacing of equipment during peak times. The Pickleball court seems to be very active, which is good. The steam room in the men's area should be upgraded. It was cold and did not produce steam after it died down. The showers in the men's area were lukewarm/ cold with low water pressure and shower heads need replacing. In general, the facility has good bones, but it needs to be upgraded and/or expanded to accommodate the growing YMCA family.
Friendly, clean, pool, machines, classes are all good.

This location has a very friendly low key vibe. The instructors are wonderful. Members are friendly too. Definitely need more showers!

I love that the Y is so affordable for our family and has programming we all use and enjoy.
I noticed that just this week you added an early morning group fitness class on Wednesdays. I was EXTREMELY happy to see this option and hope you add more. I just moved to this area but used to attend the Marblehead Y. They had lots of early morning group fitness classes 7am or earlier. Classes at 8 or 9 (or later) aren’t feasible working full time so I would LOVE to see more added. Thanks for considering!

I love the Ipswich Y for so many reasons. The building is bright and clean. The people are so friendly. Plenty of parking. The hours are great and there are a variety of programs to take advantage of. The gym and exercise rooms are fantastic, and the trainers/teachers are quite knowledgeable and fun. The weight room and machines are excellent and easy to use. If you need help with something, there's always a staff member there to ask. The steam room is a treat after a good workout. The locker rooms are spotless, have plenty of lockers and amenities (hair dryers, etc.) and it's roomy. I tell people that it's the best YMCA facility with so much to offer.
