Consumer Testimonials
Team building, social skills, honest play and integrity. Golf with the PGA Jr league teaches these skills and many others that will last a lifetime time.
The league was well organized and provided a good atmosphere for the players.
Coaches and the team format.
It teaches the kids to enjoy a round of golf with new friends. And how to be competitive yet play with sportsmanship and respect for each other. Truly a great organization for young golfers to be a part in.
Scramble format makes golf accessible to kids
Great way to play a number of courses, build confidence in an individual sport with teammates and support one another.
We enjoy the PGA Jr. League's structure. Having the kids out on the driving range and then on the course really helps them to improve throughout the season. It's a positive environment and during the competitive matches, it always felt like it was a teaching moment, not so much about winning.
Great team building comraderie. My son looks forward to seeing his playing partners each week.
The format is so perfect and very low stress for kids. Our coaches at Army-Navy do an amazing job to make it fun. Coach Jimmy is great!
Always a great experience!
Tim is fantastic and the girls enjoy going every Wednesday and Saturday. It's helped make family golf outings more enjoyable.
a Great opportunity for a Jr. golfer to get on-course experience.
team play
Great format -
My son has been playing in the league for three years now and loves it.
The team aspect.
Great introduction to competing in golf. We especially liked the format that our teams played consisting of best ball format. That encouraged the kids to really work together, understand each others strengths and learn to strategize/optimize each hole.
Format works well. Our coach is great.
The staff at Windy Hill has been great.
Matt Ferguson with the Ferguson Golf Institute is best coach and really great with the kids. He is quite good at adjusting his feedback to the individual player and the kids respond to him quite well. I do not see youth golf in harford county existing without his presence. If only the county would provide more training spaces or a dedicated golf course through its youth training initiatives.
Great way for the kids to get exposed to golf in a semi competitive environment where the pressure on them is very minimal.
The amount of golf the children get to play is exceptional. The courses are beautiful, golfers learn how to work as a team and the level of performance takes discipline.
Great program and great coaching
Good experience for the kids. Great environment to learn. Discipline placed on young players to get it right, respect the rules, keep the poise, and perform. The professional-like structure places "positive pressure" on the kids to nudge them to formalize their game and take their game to a higher level.
The nature of learning to compete
The exposure to the courses and a step up to the real feel of moving around a golf course.
It was a great season. Good mix of focus, fun and sportsmanship. Highly recommend.
PGA Jr. has been a great program for our son!
Great beginner training for young players.

I love that my son was able to experience golf as a sports “season”, with teammates and coaches. It was a wonderful experience!
