I use the aqua-jog class all the time - the early class. I love the teachers - Marcia and Daphne are wonderful
I used to go upstairs to the exercise machines, but I quit doing that. The men sit on the machines, on their phones, and never get off the machine. I guess they are resting. For long periods of time. So I can’t use the machines. I asked one young man if I could get in to do my 10 reps, and he said, No. So now I don’t go up to the the gym area at all. But i do appreciate the swimming opportunities.
I love the Lakewood YMCA! The staff is always so kind and welcoming. Facilities are clean and the fellow gym-goers are respectful and nice.

With the swimming instruction, I like the way the instructors demonstrate the lessons. They also go out of their way to try to help you.
I recently started going again to the YMCA. And, have done two Zumba Classes so, far.
I enjoyed them both very much. I felt comfortable and not judged to go at my own pace.
Staying the entire 50 minutes made me feel accomplished - by sweating and having fun at the same time.
I truly enjoy the exercise classes. There is a wide variety of classes for all levels of participants. The instructors are extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Great job Lakewood Y!

I love the variety of activities and exercise classes offered at the Y. The sense of community here is more than you’ll ever find at a typical gym. There is something for everyone here.
