Sr exercise classes are well run, lots of familiar faces and support.
Good quality exercise equipment.
About 10 years ago they had a system where all the equipment was hooked up to sensors and it would automatically track what weight you last used, number of reps, calories burned. When you completed and logged off it would say "Congratulations you burned enough calories for 1/4 sundae". Even though it was ridiculous, it made you think how much work it is to work off some of that food we eat. It was useful, fun feedback, I miss it.
The YMCA has a nice variety of classes available and the instructors are so upbeat and personable. It’s so easy to make friends and receive encouragement from participants. The gym has plenty of exercise equipment available and it appears they are maintained for efficiency for exercising. The YMCA has a heart for cancer survivors. As a cancer survivor, I had the opportunity to participate in an exercise program called LIVESTRONG last fall at no cost. It was an awesome program and it encouraged me to take better care of myself. I have faithfully participated in classes and exercising at the YMCA on a weekly basis. LOVE 💕 IT! Sandy

To speak for our son First name removed whom is a resident at Hopewell. Your program provides him with physical and emotional support. Your cliental are so thoughtful and encouraging. The friendly atmosphere serves as a positive part in his daily life; and for this we are very grateful.

Lots of activities & sports for younger kids! At 3-yrs-old my kids started asking about sports, there was the best variety of options at the Y verses other venues.
