My favorite things at the Y are the weight room, sauna, and whirlpool pool.

They are accessible to all ages and the instructors are incredibly awesome.
I enjoy playing pickleball with all levels but would like to have a time that allows more advanced players to play with just more advanced players. It could be certain times, days or a designated court. If the lower level players want to play with the more advanced then they know the level they are choosing to play in. Some people are beginners and are unable to compete with the more advanced players and are intimidated. It would be nice to be able to allow the more advanced players to play each other without having to hold back when playing with beginners all the time. Just having the option would be nice.

As a senior I appreciate all of the low impact exercise programs. I wish that you had some pilates machines and classes .

The variety of activities and the convenience.
I enjoy the programs and activities. SO many to choose from and to try. I have been in the Aquatic programs for over 3 years. Crafts with Debbie is always fun and a way to make new friends. The staff is always there with a friendly Hello and prepared to assist in any way they can.

We appreciate the variety of programs and activities offered by the Geauga Y. We don’t participate in all of them yet, but foresee a time that we will.

There is something for everyone. My go-to is the pool with swimming and water aerobic classes. But I know there are fun programs for every age group and fitness level. Sadly I don't take advantage of more, but I know the staff would be encouraging and friendly in anything I chose t do.
I especially like the classes that Melanie Vitale teaches. She challenges us to work hard and improve. The variety of exercises she brings to each class keep us motivated.

I like the pool and use it exclusively, I haven't tried the workout areas or other programs offered yet. Also, the staff are very pleasant & friendly.
On an unrelated note, I'm disappointed over the lack of courtesy by some of the members though. A "no cell phone" sign is posted in or by the locker rooms. Over the last year there has been several times I've spotted young men snapping pics of themselves in the locker room mirrors...not nudes but not fully clothed either. Last week there were three of us in various stages of getting dressed, at one point all of us were completely unclothed at the same time along the back wall of the locker room. While a forth character was at the end of the row, clothed, seated and talking on the phone. I don't know if he was actually talking to someone on the cell or taking photos of 3 bare bottoms. These folks with cells in the locker room are just plain rude and inconsiderate of the privacy of others. I know that most of us carry our phones into locker rooms but have the common courtesy to leave them in our pockets and not pull them out & use them there.
I like the water classes.
However the parents need to watch their children when they are in the pool. Children should not be throwing things in the adult class area. The adults are getting hit with objects!!
