The instructors for the Silver Sneaker classes are awesome. They lead a great workout stressing to go at your level giving multiple options.
I use the gym facilities and the staff is very nice. I can ask any question and they are always available
I have only participated in Aquafit classes taught by Donna Boucher. She is so energetic and encouraging. Her workouts are fun and challenging. The staff members at the French Creek Y are friendly and welcoming. They are diligent about the safety of members with constant cleaning and sanitizing of locker rooms and public areas. Thank you!
Convenient location, wide variety of classes with something for everyone. The excellent staff who are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help and encourage us. A nice, safe environment where you meet and interact with your Y-friends.

There is a wide variety of options. Love the friendships developed there. Will be happy when everything goes back to normal.
Very friendly personnel. Clean and comfortable building to work out in. Equipment kept in good repair. The "Y" has done a great job in keeping the members safe with covid protocal.
The people that work there and the activities
They are organized but at the same time not overly organized. Programs appeal to a diverse group. There is something for everyone.
Child programs

My kids are involved with the RYD swim team. It is a great opportunity for kids to learn/improve their skills in a fun, supportive environment. The coaching is excellent.
We also use the second floor exercise equipment. The staff is doing a great job of keeping everything clean.
Like the instructors
The French Creek YMCA staff is excellent! - very helpful & encouraging. Starting a new program can be intimidating, but the staff eases you into the routine & you soon feel like one of the "regulars". The facility is very clean, open & fresh.

Great variety of exercise classes
I really enjoy the AOA programs especially Silver Sneakers and Chair Yoga. As I am 79 these programs keep me active and allow me to participate in exercise programs for older adults who need to get exercise. I especially like that you have to pre-register for these classes in advance so that the class size is quite manageable. The instructors are all great, keep me energized and know their programs well! My insurance does not cover Silver Sneakers, so I pay a monthly fee, but feel it is well worth while to get these classes.

The pool and aquatic boot camp is fun. Going to start with a personal trainer.
My son has played and I have coached in the basketball program.
