Clean friendly environment
The pools and classes there
Love the equipment, especially the newer ones that offer TV and Netflix. How cool is that. Know almost all the staff because they are friendly and make a point of getting to know you. Great variety of programs adapted for all ages and abilities. Go almost everyday.
The best !!
Very widely diverse and accessible programs and activities in a clean friendly environment. Don't feel like I have to "dress up" to work out, or that I'm being judged.
Joining the Y was the smartest thing I did after my husband passed. After 8 yrs. of fighting cancer with my husband, I needed to lose some weight & get back to interacting with people outside of medical facilities. I chose silver sneakers & was hooked on day 1. The instructor was so welcoming, & the other members were so friendly & inclusive. I kept trying more classes & found myself spending 5 mornings a week at the Y with terrific friends. The first year I lost 26 lbs. & gained so many new friends. I have been on cruises, overnight bus trips , 1 day bus trips.-- all fabulous. The Y restarted my life. Nine years later I'm still active at the Y,& so very grateful !!
Caps and Laps!! First and foremost, Sharon Smith, our leader--love her--she's the best!!
The track, and the exercise equipment. I have opportunity to try just about any kind of exercise regimen I want. One of these days I'm going to try the pool.
Great people
You have many classes that we members can take advantage of. You also have a lot for seniors which is amazing. The land classes, the water classes are all wonderful. We are blessed to have a YMCA in Avon that we can utilize. Thanks for all you do to allow the community to become healthier by attending the classes at Avon's facility.
Exercises for everybody's fitness ability.
I have been enjoying the Pickleball program for a few years now, and i've made many wonderful friends.
I would like to send out a big Thank you to Eric, for making the program even better.
Debbie & Rodney

The variety
There are programs & activities for everyone regardless of age, skill level, physical tolerance.
Also an abundance of equipment for all types of strength training, firming & toning as well as cardio and inside walking path...which I love.
There is a variety of programming for all ages. The staff is super helpful and friendly. I feel comfortable as a senior going to this facility.
Arthritis swimming
Love the arthritis group exercise (only group activity I can do) and I love the gym. Very bright and spacious. Love the activity list for older adults although we have not participated lately.
Thanks for being there for us seniors.
You have good classes and offer Pickleball!
there are plenty of classes and tours to choose from. One negative: why are not members allowed to use the outside area next to the pool in the summertime?
The new Ex. Dir Eric has re-energized the staff. Thanks for everyone’s spirit and programs. Look forward to new and better things at the Y. Bill Ramsey
My son did the personal swim lessons at the YMCA. I liked how flexible it was. My son's instructor was great! I'm really over all pleased.
Silver Sneaker too busy. .In fact all classes for seniors too busy
I use the pool and exercise on my own.
Love both pools. Lap swimming and aerobic water with Shelley. Floor equipment, track for walking and cycle class . All Great ! Thank-you .
I really enjoy Donna’s water boot camp on Monday morning.
Availability of the facility including competition pool and friendly life guards
Everything
They have a lot of programs for seniors and the instructors are wonderful. It is it’s own community with friendships made and a feeling of being wanted.
I do not utilize any programs/activities other than the workout equipment, which I think is in newer, good condition. Nice atmosphere and close to home.
