Great customer service
This is my second visit today because I forgot all my hair stuff and I had to do a special trip back to my place. I’ve made a review going over that, but this time I had a couple of weird app and account bugs, maybe? So I signed in on the app once I was planning on coming back and picked a preferred stylist. The app said there was a wait time of 25 minutes. Once I got there, the place seemed fairly slow and a stylist immediately tried to check me in. She couldn’t find my account by looking me up by name (a super unique name that I’ve yet meet or hear anyone else having a name like mine), but could find me by phone number specifically. I know there has been a ton of updates going around and so I do want to note this. Anyway, the other weird thing was when I got there I noted to my preferred stylist how quick they were to finish up their client, as I’m fairly certain I got there earlier than the estimated 25 minute mark. They remarked that they’ve been slow enough that they didn’t have a client within the last 25 minutes. This might also be a bug in the system, or maybe I just didn’t notice someone checking in and then cancel? Overall, odd day today. After I got brought back, however, the rest of the experience was great. I’m a bit of a volleyball fan and I was delighted to see some volleyball love during the basketball hype. The rest of the services were wonderful and I felt amazing afterwards.
So, I had to do multiple visits this time. I gave this review a 10/10 because I understand that my negative criticism I’m about to talk about can be summarized to not being a part of the target audience and that the criticism isn’t bad, exactly, but it’s a weird remark. Everything else about the experience was amazing. This place is so relaxing and uplifting, despite my criticism of the product variety. So, the reason that I’ve had to do multiple visits is because I forgot to bring my own shampoo and conditioner this time, a new thing I’ve been doing recently and a new thing to do in any hair salon in general for me. This location used to have more gentle products; however, for understandable reasons, the brand for these gentle products was discontinued in this hair salon. The problem is that there was only one brand of this specific kind of product and no real alternatives. This raises more of an eyebrow when the main selling feature of Sports Clips, besides running a sports game everywhere, is that they wash your hair with a warm face towel. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not upset about this, but confused about the product priority if this is a main focus of the experience. I’ve turned a blind eye on this for some time because I realize I’m not the target audience, but it’s a weird business strategy to say the least, right? Maybe it’s an oversight? This place is so great that I want to play the devil’s advocate, but I’ve gone to a ton of hair salons and this is a new one—and it’s a main selling point. It’s just weird. Regardless, for this visit I just did a beard trim, as everything else I wanted to do has to be on hold. The experience was good, and I will say that I do like the MVRCK brand for beard and skin lotion. The stylist was super sweet and reassured me for not being so hard on myself for forgetting everything. This experience was lovely, but it was a shame that I had to delay the real point of the experience for another time.

Great customer service. My kids loved the experience they recieved. They washed my kids hair and gave them a little shoulder message. They said they definitely only want to go to sports clips from now on. 😀 Mom and sports clips for the win lol.

All of the stylists that have ever cut my hair at Sportclips have done a good job. Pretty much every time I’ve left there I’ve been happy with my visit. The app is helpful too but could be updated.
I've been going to Sport Clips since COVID. I go to the Garity location in Nampa. Niki is the best. I have requested her to cut my hair every time I go. I always get the Ultimate MVP. I always recommend Sport Clips when I have the opportunity.
