At Lake Houston YMCA the administration, the staff, the instructors, and the trainers are all interested, understanding, smart, and friendly toward the members and their needs. It is not too difficult to say that we are all one big happy family!
From a senior perspective our normal or special needs are easily accommodated as they may be constantly changing. Those needs are always taken in stride as just part of the complete service provided. We know that senior staff is constantly making any necessary adjustment to programs and classes for our benefit.
Pool is awesome, workout area is in great shape.

Since I am older, the water programs are important to me. I can exercise but not injure myself and my joints. Many people come and do what they can do, it doesn't matter. All of the instructors are wonderful people and interested in helping everyone. The staff at the Y is very friendly and greet you when you come in. They now have water programs 5 days a week. There are other programs that my friends attend and it is easy to spend 3 hours there.
My wife and I love the classes and that you are adding more times for classes and childcare. The facility is always clean and the stuff is always friendly and helpful.

Senior classes
I like that you have to register for classes. I love seeing employees walking around in the weight room spraying off items. I love that it's a safe place to bring my toddler and he has fun while I get to exercise.
Zumba-classes are fun, high energy. Instructors are always encouraging & engaging. I love Zumba

I like the group classes, particularly Bodyflow and Yoga. Specifically, the ones led by Elfi, Ellen, Ginger, Maria, and Renee. I've also enjoyed Zumba classes led by Aisha and Yoko. As important, the child care is excellent. Debbie is excellent, as are the other child care providers. I feel comfortable that my child is secure and in a safe, clean environment which aids in learning and creativity expression. My 6 year old loves to go to the "Y" and that makes working out with a rested mind so much easier. The staff that is in the equipment room is helpful as well.
I would only request regular yoga or Bodyflow to be added on Tues and Thurs in addition to the current schedule. :)
I like the way the reservations for pool are set up. Maybe when you open up more, you can keep reservations till say noon then open up for all (kids) and then from 6 till closing back to lanes for the workers. Just a suggestion. I know a lot of us like this setup.
I like that you have good instructors who give you attention.

I do my own thing. I workout 4-5 days a week bright and early in the morning (5 AM during the week and 6 AM on Saturday) (free weights and cardio machines). It's perfect for me and my schedule.
