Friendly caring staff!!
I absolutely love that lap swimming is by registration only, so that way you are not having to compete with others for a lane. The Y has also done a fantastic job keeping areas clean & sanitary during these covid times. The addition of aerial yoga with Ginger is amazing! I can't recommend this class enough.
That you can see the schedule online, and you can schedule an activity and know when you get there (especially for swim) you will be able to get your work out in at that time.
I like having a lap pool available all day.
The programs available to ALL ages and the very kind, thoughtful and professional staff.
Swim programs are especially appreciated.
Spacious gym with family atmosphere
I like the instructors and the class formats. I would like to see the classes go to an hour long instaed of 45 minutes.The Y staff is very friendly at the two locations I seem to frequent- Lake Houston/Tellepsen. They get to know their members, which makes it inviting to continue visting the Y

Your instructors teach with love!
Only take water aerobics and I love the time of day the classes are offered as well as the zumba and regular exercises classes (3/week for zumba and 2/week for regular). The instructors seem so dedicated and seem to have so much fun teaching us. It's a pleasure physically and mentally to participate.

My family and I were going to Life Time until we visited your facility. We quickly discontinued our membership and joined YMCA.
Your staff are some of the nicest folks I have ever encountered. They are friendly and a joy. Like we are friends!
One complaint would be the benches in the locker room (mens). They are so small and I often have to put my bag on the ground while dressing. Maybe adding one to each row would help out. I hear this complaint from others as well.

There is a good variety of classes for people of all physical levels, and new classes have been added. The staff is helpful and the facility is super clean.
I love the group fitness classes. The instructors are amazing and knowledgeable. The community at the Y is like no other. And, working out in a group is encouraging and makes me work harder. I look forward to taking classes at the Y. I also love the Child Watch. Many of the same precious staff members have cared for all 5 of my children through the years and watched them grow up. They are excellent at what they do and my children look forward to going to the Y. I am so thankful for the Lake Houston YMCA. It has been a huge blessing to our family!

The facility is not overcrowded during my workouts. I enjoy getting in cardio workouts using the variety of equipment they have available. I haven't had to wait to use a machine since I started going to the Lake Houston YMCA.
Like that there is a wide range of classes offered and that masks are no longer required in workout areas

I like the ability to schedule activities at most times both live and interactive. The App makes it very easy to schedule an activity and to see what is available.
The variety of activities is great especially for someone starting out and trying to figure what to work and how often. the number offered makes it easy to pick and chose.
I like that you need to reserve a spot for cardio classes. Reduces over crowding in very popular classes such as Zumba or body pump
I think you are trying to fulfill our needs. Glad to see many others there going to classes and really having fun!! It seems like a family to me!
I like so many of the classes and instructors, it can be difficult to decide which class to go to. I get a great workout in most of the classes alongside 70 year olds that are also getting good, safe workouts. I enjoy Caryn, Carolyn, and Danielle's classes, also Gene and Ginger and Ellen. Elfi is best suited for the senior classes.
I wish that the classes were an hour long though. I would also like it to be cooler in the building with more fans. Especially in the gym for HIIT and in studio B and the cycle room. The back of the Y is always hotter and more humid.
