Class schedule is good and spread out throughout the facility open hours.
Building and pool are kept clean.
Exercise machines are maintained.
Staff is friendly.
I like the friendliness of the staff and the instructors. Only 1 instructor has made me feel not good about myself, but they meant well, just trying to make me a better me!
There are plenty of classes for all ages. For me, I enjoy the "silver" classes.
I do hope and wish classes for weight training or using the machines by a trainer would be offered for small groups of 4. A trainer could make sure we are doing it correctly and push us! I would expect to pay extra over the membership fee.

The childcare is awesome, the facility is clean and all of the employees are kind and friendly. We love the Y!
Great and nice assistants.

One year after we retired (2016) we joined the Fort Bend Y using our Silver Sneakers insurance related benefit. It was the best thing we have done (well, except for a few cruises) since retirement. We had not exercised in classes before and we found the chair classes useful at first. We marveled at the change in strength and balance even as a result of entry level classes. Now after 3 1/2 years we go to 4 classes a week including 2 cardio classes. Our strength, balance, and cardio vascular endurance are all improved. We look forward to
classes with Mistie Porter. She is a wonderful instructor. Mistie's positive attitude, big smile and greeting for all set the tone for every class.
One unexpected benefit of the Y is the number of friends we have made. We not only exercise at the Y, but also attend events such as pot lucks. We also have made friends with whom we celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other occasions. This is important since retirees lose so many social contacts upon retirement.
Overall, the Y is well run. The staff are efficient and friendly. Members encourage and support one another. It is all good. The insurance companies who support Silver Sneakers are very smart. Falls and loneliness are two major health related problems of aging. The Y
helps promote health and keeps us well.
