I’m from Katy and usually visit the YMCA locations there, but since I’m spending a few weeks in Houston, I decided to try the Trotter YMCA. I was pleasantly surprised! The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The group classes really stood out—they were fun, engaging, and had a great energy. I felt comfortable right away, even as a visitor. Definitely a great place to work out, and I’d come back again!
The swimming pool is great
Love your water aerobics class they have really made a difference in my life and my fitness level. Your silver sneakers classes are also off the chain. Would love for you all to clean the hot tub after the pool closes on Wednesday that way when we finish with the water, aerobics class everyone can use the hot tub, the women’s locker room could really use our remodeling, the forever world trips love them. Your staff as you walk into the building, so friendly and helpful. add some silver sneakers classes at 1 PM a couple days a week. Other than that, I’m a happy camper.
As a senior (75) the exercises are geared for us. Friendly staff who are always willing to assist. It clean and inviting.
I love the group workouts, especially HIIT on Tuesdays at 530, wish there were more of these classes.
Availability of equipment and very clean facility. Always greeted and welcome upon entry.

I find the participants in the various activities to be quite engaged . In addition, they appear to be enjoying the experience. The facilities and the equipment are kept clean and in order. My swimming has been minimally disrupted due to the communications I receive.
The staffs are welcoming and friendly, they make you feel like you belong. Plus, Socialization and activities 🤩

If the Silver Sneakers kept their opinions and dirty looks to themselves it would be a lot better! They think they “OWN” the Y and anyone there who’s not in their “click” needs to leave…. Makes others feel uncomfortable and unwanted/unwelcome!
We love silver sneakers, chair volleyball, bingo days, birthday bash and all of the interesting trips we get to go on. Our friends at the Duncan Y are like our family

They keep the weight machines in good condition. Staff members are knowledgeable and helpful.
They offer a variety of programming to address the needs and interests of people of all ages.

Kind, competent teachers
Most everything I see is done very well. Some improvements could include ceiling fans in the men's dressing room, a scale for weight control, better water pressure in the lavs., hot tub maint. outside of heavy usage periods, longer large pool times and that's all that is a priority to me. otherwise, I enjoy my time here, thanks for asking.
I love the swimming. The schedule is good and the workers at the Y are very nice.
