I teach GPX classes there. It is clean, spacious and modern. I love how there are seperate roons for most group classes. I love teaching there.
Intergenerational and welcoming for all
My membership gives access to all YMCAs. Downtown Y is often more convenient than Cy Creek Y.
Equipment, machines, deadweights, etc. are the same at most Ys. And fit my exercise routine.
Downtown Y walking track is good, especially on very hot or very cold days.
Friendly staff!
Parking is unpredictable at Downtown Y. And new policy of scanning Bank Card is not good. But assume they have good reason for doing that.

I really enjoy the wide range of activities involved. I understand, well really I don’t, but I guess for safety you have to close the pool for lightening close by. But why the steam rooms and saunas?

The instructors and les mills classes. However, I would love for the y to open earlier on Sunday mornings.

There are programs for all ages. There are also non-exercise activities for all ages.

However, I’m not fond of the complicated new parking rules and am afraid my credit card will be stolen when I leave it in the car, which I’ll have to do in order to have it with me at the Y.

Excellent service from very friendly, thoughtful and efficient staff, excellent instructors with great attitudes, convenient to me, sufficient parking, nice facility.

I would lick you to update the ymca on Calvacade in Houston,Tx locker room and shower are hideous. Just last week the ceiling caved in where your machines are located. People are very nice. But the place is dusty and needs an update. People in this community would appreciate not having to drive to Downtown ymca which is alway sufficient. Thank you!

Beautiful Facility, Group Exercise rooms generous size & many of them!, Huge group exercise schedule with incredible variety & something for everyone.
Need to get better clips for barbells in group exercise rooms. Very hard to make weight changes on the barbells with current sqeeze-clips.
Lots of community programs, great senior programming.
Very welcoming & extremely helpful front-desk staff.
Just wish you had more sectorized leg-press machines on weight-room floor. Very hard to access to these machines - they are in great demand.
